in the 70s were the original British pressings available in Germany. One of them was "The Human Menagerie" by Cockney Rebel, the 1977 I got from my brother for Christmas and what I have today with great joy on the turntable to run my now 31 year old Hitachi Direct Drive Turntable HT-355 let. Listening To "Death Trip" - symphonic, bombastic, yet also equipped with a fine flair for musical detail - a rarity in the overall creative genius of this band by Steve Harley. Greetings from Germany.
what a great song, what a great artist! The song is a very personal song to him, one he only started playing not that long ago again, after a long time of not playing it.
Hi Dougie. I had to push my cursor through this but managed to get it in a hiccupping way. What memories the song brings. I wish we had more live videos fom the early days. All the best, Jax
@DOUGJONES2004 Thanks mate..I first heard this live in 1972 in Liverpool..I drove Steve and the boys to the hotel after the gig..(Liverpool empire) I was a fan anyway (human menagerie being my fave LP) this and Tumbling Down have been with me thru my life ..my kids can sing it word for word!!!!

Put fingers in ears at 2:37. Out of tune? Painfully so. Thanks for the link Doug, but this one's not for me, sorry.
