ok everyone, go grab a couple of broom sticks and tape a big book to one end of them. Now see how long it takes to balance it. now after hours of getting it to balance touch it ever so slightly and watch it fall to the ground. The fact that a robot can balance on its own is incredible, but to have it actively correct its balance while an outside force is being applied in real time is going to be one of the great engineering feats of the 21st century. This is just one stop on the way.
