You know, if you fry the resistor in a laser pen (preferably a cheap one) you can make it to about 102mw -114mw (depending on the maker of the laser pen) and you can melt butter, burn wood, and you could even set fire to flammables!

I want one of these green lasers. I have an old red 5mW laser pen that still works, I bought it a long time ago at best buy for $12.99. best 13 bucks I ever spent. I'd love to have a burning laser like the wickedlasers but you probably cant legally own them in the US.

Well, some of the green ones you CAN buy that do burn some things. One guy I knew ordered one - it was roughly about that size, and he couldn't burn human flesh - per se, but he was able to smoke some of the mylar bags in the vending machine. So, there was some little bit of cheap thrills with that.

I've gone to the top laser websites and if you want a strong green laser (with the beam showing at night) you should go to skylasers. net and get the 40mw green laser for 100 bucks. The 20mw one for 79.99 has a beam but not as strong as the 40mw one. Trust me...this is the best price you will find. Other sites sell 15mw lasers for 100 bucks but here you can get a 40mw.

Actually there is a very important use for a green laser pointer!
