since the round is magnum, you need a magazine with a longer width, so i think you would need a bigger magwell, so i think it would be a whole new gun.
.338 are sweet but we ran into a guy hunting elk last season don't know what the guy was thinking but he shot an elk in the ass still killed it but it made most of the meat like jello like if you poked at the meat it felt just like jello wasted alota of the meat.Elk applewood smoked breakfast sausage delish.
I think the best sniper rifle on earth that can fire the 338 Lapua is the Accuracy International (AWSM) which is used by the British military, Swedish military and many other militaries around the world.
Cobb's ok if you want a rifle that looks military. But if you want a real 338 rifle. Take a look at Vigilance Rifles VR1 338. This is a semi rifle with 1 MOA accuracy. 12k or stay home.
Sounds like an ammo problem or an operator malfunction. I own one and it shoots great. Low recoil and holds the tighest groups of any magazine fedd 50bmg on the market. Maybe you just got a bad apple. If they made trash I doubt Bushmaster would have bought them out.
Impressive marksmanship: you let the tool do the work and don't grip and jerk like most of the clowns who post here, even with much smaller calibers. Where'd you get your training?
When I used to hunt boar I used a New England Arms 10 gauge loaded with 500gr slugs, sighted with a 6x scope. My largest target was just shy of 420 pounds (hogzillas do exist but are very rare). Yes, the .338 kicks ass. But my 10 never once made the bastard suffer - not even a few seconds. Happy hunting.
scope on ur shotgun? didnt they find out that first hogzilla shot was actually smaller that the guy said.. that one that the kid shot was fucking huge tho
Yeah, hogzilla was a little smaller than originally reported. He was still a behemoth, though. The largest one I've ever seen with my own two eyes I would estimate to be at maybe 700lbs. I was armed only with a .357 that I carry and in my truck at the time. Trust me, this son of a bitch was not afraid of me at all. He just ignored because he knew I wasn't going to bother him. Hunting these animals is dangerous and not for noobs.
this looks alot like the hk 417

French? .338 Lapua was developed mainly by US, with assistance form the British and Finnish.
Cobb Mfg is an American company as well.
