To answer your question, though, I'd have to say that you should worry less about how to avoid it and more about self-defense, health, etc. This sort of thing can happen anywhere, for any reason. Attacks like this don't always have to be about money. I know most men think they're invincible to this sort of thing like in TV shows, but the fact is that a cracked skull can take anyone down. It's about how your body/mind reacts.
