hi emma, what are the hardest hitting .177 pellets? and also which do the most damage? i have the predator polymags in .22, there devastating but dont hit as hard as there light they just expand and shatter. there still good lol

the guns name is in the title mate. it shoots pellets. its not an airsoft gun. an airsoft gun would only injure a rat. dont shoot them with it.

Thanks yeah I like the .177 much better, more accurate, flatter trajectory, hits the target quicker and still knocks em down a treat and cheaper ammo ;-)

mate i want to buy an air rifle. should i choose .177, .22 or .25. I want something accurate at long ranges.

.177 is very accurate

.22 is the best in my book. .25 is good but .22 is faster and gives high damage. But if you want a cheap gun with an amazing wood finish and thumbhole with a really good scope I would recommend by far the Ruger Air Hawk Elite you can shoot sometimes 1,200 fps with this gun. Sometimes you can hear a sonic boom. You can achieve this speed after oiling the piston of the gun. It is only .177 but the Ruger Air Hawk Elite is powerful. PERFECT for killing a fox or even a coyote. Also the wolves! POWER

I bought a brand new BSA R10 just before I bought my HW100 but the R10 had an air leak and the mag wouldn't index so I took it back and did the sensible thing and bought the HW100, the .22 HW100 I had did over 15,000 shots and never once failed and its still as good as new.

The R10 has more shots per air fill but the magazine is a fiddle and the built in silencer is poor, you only get one mag and they aint cheap if you want a spare

I have a Air Arms .22 FAC but I always keep the power set down at about 12ft/lbs. I don't see a need to raise the power unless I'm hunting larger game like raccoon.

I have never used an Air Arms unfortunately but I understand they are also excellent guns

Did you have a 22 before this? My HW100 is a 177, only a couple of months old and lovely and quiet. Thr pellets are extremely fast and still pack a punch. Were you using flats or roundheads?

Yes I did have a .22 and like you I have only had this a couple of months. I like it better because as you say the pellets are extremely fast and still pack a punch, I use JSB exact roundheads and as you see they do the job with no problems

I have a CZ 200S. Lovely air rifle. Winter has arrived here in South Africa. Gonna try and shoot some of the bastards. Nice shooting though. Love your videos. 200ms is more than enough to kill a rat at 10 to 15 meters
