  • its like a sped up version of the mood mosiacs - a touch of velvet a sting of brass

  • this was meant to be theme for the tales of the unexpected, was a huge tune at Wigan for a short period of time before it was released on Casino Classics.

  • HORRIBLE _ I agree with tobalwin

  • HORRIBLE

  • Any chance of uploading the previously mentioned "leisurely and melancholy" version. I think it demonstrates just what a atmospheric and moving tune this originally was.

  • @tobalwin I wish I could help you out. It is on a deleted CD called "The A To Z of British TV Themes - The Ron Grainer Years" and I could spend the rest of my life kicking my own backside for selling my copy.

  • @tobalwin Whoops! Should have checked you out before posting that. Well done for tracking it down!

  • I danced my arris of to this soo many times

  • Ah excellent, made me smile just hearing this, listened to this as a teenager with my scooter going all over the UK to all nighters, brought back some good thoughts, thanks for posting a real classic!

  • First heard this track back about 1979 and at was released on casino classic label and was played at the club in the late 70s

  • What a discovery! I had previously only heard this as a leisurely and melancholy 1930's dance arrangement from the soundtrack of "Edward and Mrs Simpson". Grainer was not only a great composer but no fool either and he did a number of disco re-treads of his work. I am no great fan of the disco genre but this had me doing a few sad, middle-aged moves round the living room (don't tell anybody).
