  • these people arent stupid !

  • Its abit like doing graffitti but alot more intelligent using technology ?

  • Yep. The colos are not good, but we lacked a graphic artist when I coded this cracktro. The song was composed by Monty.

  • ah yragael... pas mal cette cracktro mais les couleurs ne sont pas terribles.

  • This brings back so many memories. I got my first computer in 1983 (a C64) then moved to a C128 in 1987 then on to an Amiga 500 in 1990. Everything good was always coming from Europe via a bbs. Sure doesn't seem like 20+ freaking years ago though.

  • thanks for sharing

  • can you tell me the name of this song?

  • this was made with an amiga and tracker software , a mix of chip and sampels

  • Awesome!! This music was also in a really good shut'em up game done by a norwegian coder. A tough game but well balanced gameplay. He also made a really cool PC version of the game not too long ago.

  • Reminds me of my youth spent playing NES and SNES games. Like Double Dragon and Contra.

  • One of the best cracktros around. Interpol rulez! :-D

    @TedHighes1986: Muzak made by Monty/Interpol.

  • Atari Falcon 030 ?!

    --> AMiGA PPC 603e+@210mhz ! Yes, I got one of only 10.000 produced Risc-Boards for A1200 !

And no, you cant buy it ! ;) / sell it next 2 a Amiga-dude in Serbia ...

    AMiGA 4EVER !

  • @gabba2000

    amga 4 ever my friend !! I also have 1200 ppc + a4000 ppd.... amiga power ..

  • I downloaded this song while looking for "Interpol remixes" haha

  • 4.12 min version on LW

  • i could never be arsed with the 4 disks, french subtitles and long loading times so used to just watch this. bad little electronic tune with good fukd visuals, pretty fat for an amiga. sounds like harmonic 313 took inspiration from this

  • i fucking love this track didnt even know it was for a vid game

  • STILL LOVING IT

  • Hmmm.. does anyone know if Interpol cracked more than Flashback?

Haven't found any other cracks from them despite years of searching and I simply don't have the time, though I long for, to check the good old Eurochart and other diskmags to see what happened to them...

  • That music is also the in game music for deluxe galaga (great ami game)

  • Ah, that crappy Flashback crack! The protection is not fully cracked so you can't finish the game. But nice intro and muzak!

  • This song is like you have just climbed a mountain.

  • aahh

i always thought this song was by the band Interpol!

    silly me..

  • haha, so did I!!!

  • trydtrty

  • lol.. is it bad that i knew exactly what this was from the thumbnail ?

  • Used to absolutely love this tune, would let it play for quite a while before I'd stop it in order to play Flashback ;)

  • at that period of time amiga sounds where the best !!!!

  • Is it true that at one point the Amiga was one of the best systems for sound?

  • It was fair - 9 octave, 4 channel (hardware - no mixing) 8 bit audio.

  • nope atari was better got for example dsp on board, but amiga modules were more popular and simply it was plenty of them ;]

  • The only Atari with better sound than the Amiga was the Atari Falcon released in 1992. The ironic part is that every tune i have heard on the Falcon is 4 channel 8 Bit Protracker modules.

  • Ya wrong, but this is no matter ;)

  • then you must be deaf.atari sound sucks

  • Yes, "at one point".

The original Amiga had a quite complete set of audio features (read SkuldChand42 comment), including a good filtering system (which made even crappy samples actually sound ok).

The Atari STF was way crappier in this domain. The Atari STE is both better and worse than the amiga: Not as flexible, better sound, but not filter so crappy modules sound crappy :)

The Atari Falcon is definitely better than the Amiga, but came way later, not really fair to compare :)

  • All Monty musics are great !!!! Nice "flag" effect on the background.

  • anyone know where to get this as an MP3

  • Always kept this intro running for a while before playing flashback....great music

  • Do you know how this music was made? Do you recon I could make it in Garage Band? Cheers

  • download sth like FastTracker for Mac OS X

  • There is a download link for the module in the video description. If you want to play this module, you have CocoModx on Macosx.

  • @TedHughes1986

Get an amiga, get octamed, use midi, make amazing sounds :D
