Thing about Aerith is that so many fans were upset about her death shows just how attached they were to her. The game-makers clearly did something right when they made Aerith.
This song makes me both happy and sad; it reminds me of the one who I loved and lost, but will always have a special place in my heart for.
Guys, I know I don't have any right to talk but we should just stop arguing about this! Cloud's going to be alone forever because the way I see it Sqaure Enix will NEVER come out and say, "oh, well Tifa is his love DUH!" or "OMGZ guys like Aeris is Cloud's number 1!!33" because than they would be losing fans from either side of the LT. Tifa isn't even a real person in KH2. She's a physical representation of Cloud's light; that's pretty much why you only see Sora & company talk to her. So saying KH2 is Cloti is pretty ridiculous if you ask me, people always argue in the FF7 fandom that Aeris is dead so Cleris can't work but in KH2 Tifa isn't even a REAL PERSON. I find that ironic, and fitting. Cleris all the way!
IMO, she's not a physical representation of Cloud's light. Note that she offered Cloud, not his light, but her own light...which was way too bright for him anyway. Whether Tifa is a real person or not, we've yet to really see. I'm pretty sure some of the reasons why she was added to KH2 was to keep the LT speculations alive and to draw more fans into the KH series.

Aerith IS older than cloud but only by a year. Aerith is 22 in FF7, cloud is 21, and Tifa is 20. Advent Children placed 2 yrs after FF7 so Aerith would be 24, cloud would be 23, and tifa would be 22.
I am really touched! To be honest I was teary eyed watching the video especially the start when Aerith was about to leave and Cloud was looking at her. awww... Seeing the one you love is really sad. That part of the song really matched that scene.

"Life" and "love" are intertwined. This story tells the theme of "love" through "life". When you truely love somebody/something with all your heart, you are willing to give up your life for them. A direct analogy is Aerith giving her life for the life of the planet and its inhabitants. At the same time, what hurts the most is losing someone you love -> Cloud's pain of losing Aerith. On the other hand, when you truely love someone/something, you'll live for them too =)

Really love this video! I'm a BIG fan of AerisxCloud. Although I don't hate Tifa but I really fear what will SE do in their next game (you know, if they will again put FF7 characters) about the love triangle. I want Cloud to be with Aeris!

Not true. Tetsuya Nomura stated that the happier Cloud gets, the scareder he becomes. Case in point, he was happy before AC when he chose to live with Tifa until he contracted a fatal disease. He feels worthless because it seems like everyone close to him dies and that it's his fault.
The fact that Tifa's included in his sidequest in KH2 and not Aeris (who spends most of her time with Leon) says enough. And that's JUST in Kingdom Hearts. *snickers*
However, the makers of Final Fantasy VII and Advent Children clearly stated in an interview that Cloud was in love with Aeris, and he hated himself because he felt that he could have done something more to save her. right, aeris says zack was her first, but she didn't love him. i find it ironic, one theory is that aeris is to blame by and large, had she not been in midgar, zack wouldn't have attempted to get there upon escaping Nibelheim, thus inadvertantly being indirectly responsible for zacks death and the rift between tifa and cloud.
To the Zack people, I believe that Aeris says HERSELF that Zack was her first boyfriend, and something along the lines of "I didn't really love him." FF7.
Cloud and Tifa aren't dating. They just care for one another because they're family. Therefore, they can't exactly break up or anything. Zack is single. Cloud is single. Aerith is single. Tifa is single. They all belong to MEEH :P

No. Neither couple were linked by the ribbon of fate. For one, Romeo and Juliet came from a culture which did not HAVE the gorram ribbon legend, and they were simply two stupid teens who allowed their passions to destroy themselves.

Cloud is no more connected to Aerith by the ribbon than the rest of AVALANCHE. Besides which, he's with Tifa, and Aerith herself supports that.
I understand this may damage your favorite ship pairing, but it is part of the canon. Deal with it and move on with your lives.

I know about the red string of fate. What I don't see is the evidence that it applies to Cloud and Aerith. And since extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, the red string of fate- an extraordinary claim to be sure- requires extraordinary evidence. If you can't provide sufficient evidence- and thus far, you aren't applying any, the only reasonable conclusion is that it isn't there.
And please, child. Don't accuse people of being narrow minded. It reflects poorly on yourself.

Tifa isn't even a real person in KH2. She's a physical representation of Cloud's light; that's pretty much why you only see Sora & company talk to her. So saying KH2 is Cloti is pretty ridiculous if you ask me, people always argue in the FF7 fandom that Aeris is dead so Cleris can't work but in KH2 Tifa isn't even a REAL PERSON. I find that ironic, and fitting. Cleris all the way!

IMO, she's not a physical representation of Cloud's light. Note that she offered Cloud, not his light, but her own light...which was way too bright for him anyway. Whether Tifa is a real person or not, we've yet to really see. I'm pretty sure some of the reasons why she was added to KH2 was to keep the LT speculations alive and to draw more fans into the KH series.

Aerith IS older than cloud but only by a year. Aerith is 22 in FF7, cloud is 21, and Tifa is 20. Advent Children placed 2 yrs after FF7 so Aerith would be 24, cloud would be 23, and tifa would be 22.

I am really touched! To be honest I was teary eyed watching the video especially the start when Aerith was about to leave and Cloud was looking at her. awww... Seeing the one you love is really sad. That part of the song really matched that scene.

Beautiful video.
"Life" and "love" are intertwined. This story tells the theme of "love" through "life". When you truely love somebody/something with all your heart, you are willing to give up your life for them. A direct analogy is Aerith giving her life for the life of the planet and its inhabitants. At the same time, what hurts the most is losing someone you love -> Cloud's pain of losing Aerith. On the other hand, when you truely love someone/something, you'll live for them too =)

Using that type of logic, if Zack had never joined SOLDIER in the first place, he wouldn't have died. If he hadn't been in Nibelheim in the first place, maybe he would have survived. If he hadn't had to drag Cloud along with him, maybe he would survived. Why should Aerith carry the blame?

It's really irrelevant because KH2 is an AU. Whether it's through friendship or love doesn't matter. She represents the good things in him, and Sephiroth represents the darkness. He hates Sephiroth with a burning passion so the opposite would be said for Tifa. ;o

Um, hello? Sephiroth burned down his hometown and killed all the villagers, including his mother, and almost killed Tifa. He hates Sephiroth with a passion because he took those things from Cloud, NOT because he loves Aeris (btw, prove it?) Add that to the fact that he once ADMIRED said man. Not true. Tetsuya Nomura stated that the happier Cloud gets, the scareder he becomes. Case in point, he was happy before AC when he chose to live with Tifa until he contracted a fatal disease. Remember his words during the 'zuru zuru' scene: "I don't think I can help anyone... family, friends, nobody." He feels worthless because it seems like everyone close to him dies and that it's his fault.

However, the makers of Final Fantasy VII and Advent Children clearly stated in an interview that Cloud was in love with Aeris, and he hated himself because he felt that he could have done something more to save her. Meeting her conciousness in several different areas of the movie, he was finally able to learn how to move on. Yeah Tifa and Vincent had a lot to do with it, but it wasnt as clearly emphasized as it was between him and aeris.

right, aeris says zack was her first, but she didn't love him. i find it ironic, one theory is that aeris is to blame by and large, had she not been in midgar, zack wouldn't have attempted to get there upon escaping Nibelheim, thus inadvertantly being indirectly responsible for zacks death and the rift between tifa and cloud.

Personally. I like Cloud and Aeris. just because she's dead doesnt mean he'll move on at all. Lost of people's love one die and they never move on. Besides, throughout AC Tifa is kinda mad at cloud for shunning everyone, including her. none-the-less it's a pretty song. Personally i like Cloud/Aeris Zack/Tifa. Even though the second one is an extremely off pairing ^_^' but hey so is Cid and Vincent...i really wanna know where that on came from...
