The gorgeous sound of a triumph triple.What a pity we won't be hearing them in world supersport...a damn shame......anybody know whether the Daytona is in any world-class races this year?Superb bike.
@ruddo1970 HI there...Yes i know about the others! As you say,Chaz would have had some really good results this year and I was so looking forward to watching the WSS rounds this season...doesn't hold the same appeal now.Have never seen anything about Triumphs reaction to Park n Go!! in the media.seemed very strange dumping Triumph so late in the day...anyway thanks for the heads up ..ride safe!
I haven't read anything about Triumph's reaction. I only read that ParkinGo made the change because they apparently had an agreement that some time in the near future they would be able to contest Triumph in both WSBK as well as WSS. With no sign of, or perhaps commitment from Triumph for a bigger capacity in the near future they decided they had no choice but to change manufaturers. Perhaps Triumph aren't in a financial position to develop a 1000cc machine to compete in WSB...
@ruddo1970 Thanks for that!I was unaware of the details of park n go's future strategy/plans...on a slightly different note...as the owner of a 955i daytona-2002 model.I wish that Triumph would design a new large capacity sports bike,so that I would have the option to get one,as I prefer more .grunt'! a large capacity sports bike offers the performance without the need to rev the bejeesus out of it.Can on;y hope!thanks again.
I agree about the need for a Superbike Trumpy! While i'm happy with my 675 it would be nice to have a current 1k SBK equivalent Trumpy to jump up to one day! The Street Triple is a detuned Daytona 675 motor. I guess the 1050 Speed Triple hasn't been found to produce the power they would need for a SBK offering, taking the motor the other way. Perhaps its somewhere in their long term plans...

@955nsim
There are still 3 Triumph's in WSS, only privateer teams though. They won't be near the front i'm guessing...
A shame really. I reckon Chaz was set to make regular podium appearances this year!
