  • What a MAN

  • Veterans hospital? Was the chap a vet or was it just the hospitals name. Who was he? What's he up to now?

  • Frankie is sending us everywhere on youtube

  • Frankieeeeeeee?!

  • That's something.slave trade blacks(true Jews)hardly call each other brother anymore.all slave trade blacks are cousins since our forefathers, are Abraham,Issac, and Jacob

  • I wonder if they'll play "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On" at his birthday bash? Oooops. I meant, Ricky Gervais!

  • I can't imagine what there is to dislike about this touching human interest story.

  • When I saw it say 'saves man from suicide attempt' I thought it meant he turned a challenger down for a fight.

  • It's sad that such a positive story has become yet another battleground over religious issues on the internet. It was said in the video that the man was taken to a veteran's hospital, did he have a past in the military that led to his unhappiness with is life? And what about the selflessness of the great Muhammad Ali whose first reaction to the situation was to help save a man's life? All these are important things we should be talking about, not bringing up the champ's religion on his birthday.

  • @Hudathan Totally agree, stick to the story, why bring religion into it; and for the pundits, Ali switched long ago from the Nation of Islam to Islam, he has never wavered from his religious beliefs, his humanitarium achievements have nearly overshadowed his boxing, it's a touching story and a great man.

  • Why is Ricky Gervais top comment...?

  • @Renneskid he posted the link for this video on his twitter page

  • Class act.

  • His daughter is awesome

  • @webdump.. you spell too - t-o-o, no biggie

  • Wonder where that guy is now?

  • I LOVE this man even more. I find out more and more about this angel of a man as time goes by and I am truly touched. This is no ordinary man. This man is a great man. Not a title I give easily.

  • Why the "U.S.A." chant?

  • @jockskellington its perfectly necessary yes?

  • Terry Drinkwater? dammit, who tampered with the teleprompter!

  • What a gun!

  • Cunts that say "So and so brought me here" want a fucking good fucking cunting. The fucking cunts.

  • @webdump Sorry, I used one to many fuckings and not enough cuntings.

  • top bloke

  • How is there dislikes on this?

  • ricky gervais bought me here

  • @streeteyboi Probably people who think that Ali did it for fame.

  • Im going to jump! Wait... is that Ali?

  • @harrisontan You nailed it.

  • Cue the Superman theme.

  • January 20th 1981- He obviously wanted Carter to win.

  • Happy bday big man

  • what are those chants at the end, when ali walks out?

  • Comment removed

  • @yakub96 what? are you some sort of retard? how does that answer my question? I was wondering if anyone understood the chants at the end, maybe it was a common chant for ali at the time or something. i DID NOT ask why they were chanting but what they were chanting

  • @utdfortreble Oh sorry for misreading your question.

  • Did he go and visit him?

  • what a man

  • ricky gervais!

  • Will smith

  • Happy Birthday Champ!

  • I've never seen or heard of this before, this is great

  • impressive.

  • is there nothing that Ali can't do? haha

  • the world love's you mohamed ali

  • een him smack talking to promote his fights by getting camera time on national TV, and saving another human being's life... Think about it man.

  • did ali get interested in this mans worst day or was it the tv exposure he just couldn't pass up. He looks like a hero whatever the scenario. image is everything to ali but sometimes he slips and shows the real ali with the viscious taunting of joe frazier !

  • @scott053 lol,

Ali did his share of boasting not only to get into the head of his opponent, but also to promote his fights. He was arguably the best promoter to ever live. Now think about what he did OUTSIDE of the ring, he led civil rights movements and joined the nation of Islam because to him that is what was right for him and the world. By saying he did this act, as a publicity stunt is like saying him joining Islam was aswell, but he's strongly Islamic to this day. There's a difference betw

  • He is the greatest human being of all time and will be my hero

  • More proof that Ali is a class act. I mean, he saved this guy's life.

  • Nice story---

  • It's a good thing nobody in the crowd screamed : "AAALI BOUMAYE".

  • Damn, that's wonderful. :*-(

  • THE GREATEST ATHLETE OF ALL TIME!

  • one of the great persons in this planet

  • is there anything this man hasnt done! ahha what an amazing human being no one is a bigger man then ali

  • ALLAH AKBER "GOD IS THE GREATEST" that's what would Muhammed Ali to hear

  • Muhammed ali is a true hero!!

    God Bless Him!!

  • Supermann or wat <3

  • may not be the greatest boxer of all time (that title belongs to Sugar Ray Robinson), but certainly one of the greatest human beings of all time

  • @austinsavage The greatest of all time is Floyd Mayweather. He's never been beaten.

  • @MrNoexcuses no way bro. Floyd's an all-time great, but nowhere near Sugar Ray & Ali. he picks opponents like the way he fights; only commits himself if he knows he can't be beat. Ali never dodged anyone and had always went against the odds, i.e. against Foreman & Liston. btw, i'm a FLoyd fan

  • @austinsavage its sad that mayweather came of age in an era where ducking opponents is a good business move !

  • @scott053 well he made his choices, and unfortunately ppl still pay hard-earned cash to see him fight has-beens and nobodies

  • @MrNoexcuses i think someone's missing the point here.

  • Great man firstly, great boxer secondly!

  • @JordoF6 yep, ali and many fighters with an irish connection across the world.

  • Ali defiently has the celtic spirit!

  • pretty cool

  • A great thing for all of us who were touched by Vietnam, Ali refused service in an unjust war but many like this young man served and were damaged, thank you Ali for saving this hero

  • Muhammed Ali..... A living Angel :-)

  • HE MUST BE THE GREATEST

    HE MUST BE THE GREATEST!!!

  • 3 people got punched in the face by Ali

  • Greatest of all time

  • Oh GOD I love this man!!

  • He said I'm your brother?

  • @PaintedDemon because their both black and black men call each other brother or brotha.

  • hmm never heard of this....ali was islamic too....you usually here about the nation of islam hurting people and real people from afghanistan killing themselves in the name of the religion.

  • @matthewjamal Ali renounced the nation of islam... he follows orthodox Sunni Islam, just like myself.

  • @matthewjamal

If you want to learn about a people learn the truth about them, not what the media show you in there propoganda.

  • what a legend, luv u muhammad

  • in ISLAM saving a life is worth saving the whole humanity and ending a life is worth ending the whole humanity.....Ali saved the whole humanity.....

  • @111KHANS that doesnt even make any sense

  • Comment removed

  • @111KHANS in ISLAM, the punishment for leaving the religion is DEATH

  • @krag3r don't say stuff u dont know anything about

  • @krag3r no its not

  • @krag3r what rubbish

  • @kamscall Then you clearly haven't read the Qu'ran. Check out Qur'an (4:89) and Qur'an (9:11-12) then get back to me on the matter :)

  • @krag3r Apparently you have not read the Qu'ran either. If you had you would know that while 4:89 may appear to advocate killing apostates, if you actually read 4:88-91 it forbids the killing of apostates unless they are engaged in hostilities with Islam. 9:11-12 says nothing about the death penalty for converts.

    Read 5:32.

Not a muslim here, just an atheist interested in knowledge for it's own sake.

  • @Kristoffee "But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them" I understand readings of CAN be subjective, but i find that particularly difficult in the above case. Just out of curiosity, what do you imagine 'hostilities towards Islam' really means?

  • @krag3r

Read the next passage; 'EXCEPT those who join a group between you and whom there is a (peace-) treaty or those who approach you with their hearts restraining them from fighting you or fighting their own people --- If they do not withdraw from you nor give you (guarantees) of peace, nor restrain their hands, seize them and kill them.'

There's a little more to the passage and it's quite clear. This was a time of war and only apostates who fought against islam were killed.

  • @Kristoffee Not trying to stir things up here, genuinely curious, if that's the case, why the fatwa against Salman Rushdie?

  • @glitcher21

The fatwa came from the Iranian government, who are basically FUCKING MENTAL. In news broadcasts they refer to the US as 'The Great Satan'. Basically they are not representative imo.

Besides, my argument is not that religion in general and islam in particular is not riddled with injustice, it's just the reference in question was inaccurate. But if you are curious about this sort of thing I really recommend visiting a Mosque. They'd be very eager to answer any questions.

  • @glitcher21

Also although it's not really my scene to be defending islam, it should be noted that there are fundamentalists and there are moderates. Moderates are far greater in number but they don't make good TV so you won't see too much of them in the news...it's the same with christianity and although fundamentalism in islam is a real problem I think it's unfair to judge the religion itself on the actions of people who have misinterpreted a peaceful religion to violence and hate.

  • @111KHANS and yet many followers of islam end many many lifes. often indiscriminately.

  • @mattymc90 same goes for christians, asswipe

  • Great man, great boxer.

  • Wow. I never even heard about this. Ali was and still is an amazing human being.

  • hero..

  • God bless you Ali. Amin.

  • That man is a hero in our society. He will always be my idol and nothing ever gonna change that

  • These "suicide jumpers" are fuckin pathetic. They just want the attention.

  • @WFR or maybe they genuinly have mental issues of which they can't cope with?

  • @farrell360

    no thats not it

  • @WFR Well next time you see a suicide jumper, hopefully it will be someone you care about, your bro, sis, your child. Then make sure you don't pay them any attention so when they hit the ground you don't see it, and it won't bother you, ooh well. You're fuckin' pathetic, you heartless idiot, maybe now your monkey-ass will pay some attention.

  • @WFR fuck you, you have no idea about mental stress. Why don't you jump off a bridge and nobody would give a shit.

  • They laughed when Paul Gascoine tried to help Raoul Moat

  • like a boss

  • Ali is an honour to the Human Race.

  • you are the champ

  • So what is Mohammed Ali, A boxing champion? No not just that, His a motivator, a person with an amazing heart, and a warrior in many different ways. his words and just his mere presence change peoples minds into a positive mindstate, This guy.. IS A FUCKING LIVING LEGEND!

  • Please dont forget to rate this thumbs up. Thank you. :)

  • @thierrykhanry ..thnx for uploading this...i never knew this xtra piece of info...that is awesome......ALI did a great job....

  • Its a bird! Its a plane! No its... Muhammed Ali! What an amazing clip. And what an awesome thing to do. Ali didn't know that man. For all he knew he could have pulled out a pistol and shot him. But once again the Greatest showed what it means to have the heart of a champion. I hope some of the people who criticize Ali's views on Vietnam get a chance to see this. Look at what that fucked up war did to that man. And look who came to help him. Thats ironic right? Thanks for posting Khanry.

  • @ernhutch187.... Well said.

  • @ernhutch187 Yes. Very eloquently put. This guy's greatness was out of the world.

  • @ernhutch187 just read your's comments about Ali. Thanks for your great opinion about a great person.

  • @ernhutch187 Funny you should make that Superman reference, because not only did he fight the Man of Steel in Superman vs Muhammed Ali comic but according to a documentary on the Bluray Superman collection, he was on the list of potential actors to play character before the Richard Donner film went into production.

  • great man and boxer!
