Brilliant... am sitting in a flat next to the Kingston Bridge looking out to Glasgow City Centre right now and i have to say, im proud of my city... and very proud to be descended from the peoples of the greatest nation on earth in my, and alot of learned peoples eyes. God bless Scotland The Brave.
My grandpa gave me a Will Fyfe vinyl ... its one of the best Scotch record I have (my favourites are Kenneth McKellar and ANDY STEWART <--- MY FAVOURITE!).
AHHHH, me daddy drank mon,tue,wed and everyday that ended in Y. However, he was the best dad ever. Love that song but dad sang it with a RAF kinda thingy, ahh love owt to do with Scotland. Bless ya all.
Being German, I used to live in Glasgow for about a year. Loved it. Miss it. Glasgow became a kind of home for me and my English sounds pretty weird for those who don't know about my year in Scotland ;-) .
Never went to Glasgow, but heard plenty of stories aboot Glasweegians, one I liked most was told to me by a former Japanese POW on dreaded railway, whilst doing a turn in 33rd Airbourne. It went like this: The Japs would use prisoners to practise their Ju-jitsu , they'd take some waysome prisoner and take to a hut , break their bones with a Black belt Jap, one day they picked on this wee Glasweegan who never fought ootside Gorbals...
