I found online lyrics for this original version, but I disagree with the last two verses. I think the next to the last says:
Last night I heard a hound dog, babe, and I felt so blue.
Cause I guess he was in the graveyard looking down at you
How long, how, how long, baby, how long?
The last verse I think has the word gazing, not gaving:
Sometimes I get to dreaming that you're coming back.
And I go down to the station and gazing up the track.
But how long, how, how long, baby, how long?

Masterful, something about an 8-bar blues does it for me every time.
Heaven!

Carr was a true ace. His greatest record in my opinion was 'Alabama Women Blues'. Pure gold.

In my 78RPM record collecting days in junk shops years ago, I passed over many Leroy Carr items. BIG MISTAKE! This is easily one of the great ones. Thanks for posting.

not a problem.
Like I said, I have more stuff, but I have not found the time to tape it and upload it.
Hopefully in a month or 2 I'll get more posted.
TILL THEN....ENJOY THIS and my few other videos of good 78's

No problem. I'm glad you enjoyed listening to it.
Hopefully in due time I'll get some more 78's up here on youtube.
These old blues records are timeless. And they are what real american music is all about!
This is great. Thanks.
