Sand Tornado

I saw a mini dust funnel at school when I was about to leave. No stormcloud there either. Me, my mom, and my car pooler saw it forming. It was just flat...wind picking up the sand... thinking its normal... but it wasn't. It moved in front of our car and started forming a funnel. Whats worse: a student was talking on his cell phone, looking away. He had shorts on and didn't see it. It got higher and my mom drove off. I look behind me, and it hit a car. Disappeared. Like nothing happened at all.

They could be dangerous but most of the time u can literally stand inside and look up inside. So usually not but rarely they can be.

Its a dust devil. wind currents can end up twisting often, you might see it spinning dead leaves in your driveway. when this happens over sand, the sand is so light, that it gets picked up by the weak winds. there dos'nt have to be a stormcloud.

Dust devils cause accidents like this because people drive through them and they get knocked off the highway(it causes their car to swerve!).NEVER drive through the ones like a burning man!
