@SerUresto I suppose most people would say the later stuff is better, but if ya think about it, when they first started out they were TRYING to piss people off, they knew exactly what they were doing. They've always been top notch musicians, in the At the Cat's Cradle dvd I was surprised how awesome Dean was at doing solos, even in '91, '92. They may seem better now because they have more people in the band, I've always been more into the old shit, there's something about the lo-fi shitthatILOVE

@33thadeus I respect Ween more than any other band out there, and know they're never pinned down to one thing, but the thing that I don't understand is people listen to their old shit and think they're a joke? And then they listen to this and think they're amazing. These are the "norm" people. Personally this was the only album of theirs I was disappointed by. Oh, and if I offended you in anyway, get the fuck over it.

@Boognish89 They are much better musicians and song writers on their later work than they were early on.

I enjoy more adventurous music, but compared to bands like Mr Bungle, Patton's Fantomas, Zappa's work with the synclavier, John Zorn, etc, Ween's early efforts come off as what they were, amateurish efforts by talented but unseasoned kids trying too hard, and not having the chops to back it up.
