  • That's is not correct. My pony does the same, but i just get marked off sometimes. You just get marked off in a movement if the tongue get to the horse's side in the mought. my pony's tongue goes only right down, and my movements does not loose points. and his tongue gets out of his mought ALWAYS. so that you are saying is not completely right. :)

  • The Piaffe is not correct sequence, but maybe just learning, dont like the tongue out at all you would lose loads of marks, depending on his price and temperament but would make a nice schoolmaster to learn from!!!!

  • it doesnt matter that the tongue is coming out because the tongue is coming out the front not the side and wont be marked down for that

  • STUNNING!!! i am gob smacked tongue outout or not..... if i had the money i would pay thousands for him!!!

  • Lovely horse :D

  • This is true... tongues out are not good! Tension and avoidence of the bit. But at some points in the video it appeared to be his upper lip flapping around, not his tongue.

Also, this horse has a hitch-y hind end in the piaffe, especially on the right side.

    Otherwise a very lovely boy!

  • Very nice horse, but if I'm correct... his tongue came out multiple times in the video. That is the absolute WORST habit a dressage horse can have. You get a point marked off on every movement that the judge sees it. My old horse had the same problem and I ended up selling him because of it. He was solid PSG/I1 and he went to a trail riding home. :(

  • Hubertus Schmidt made over 70% with him in the GP after we sold him to Anna Campanella in Italy :)
