@Xmuhsena123 i have to disagree with you on that. Just because your father told you so that music is haram doesnt make it haram. You have to look at the purpose and use of the music to call it haraam. Other wise you would call Athan an Haram too...Athan is a type of calling, a melody to call people for prayer.....as long as it in good use of Islam..its legit...keep it up Sami Yusuf

our Prophet(pbuh) said its haram..plus it also says it in the Quran that any kind of instrument is haram ..and athan does not have any instruments in it! oh and i have witnessed it myself that music is haram because for awhile i stoped listening to it and i got closer to Allah (by having good dreams and all that)but when i started to listen to it agian i felt very far from Allah! so yeahhh
