  • Obama disliked this video.

  • Barney Frank was the 100% Wesley Mouch--down to the "It wasn't my fault! I couldn't help it!"

Now that he's gone? Hmm...maybe Debbie Blabbermouth Shultz?

  • Judging by the state of America and it's status in the world, I can see why A.S is so popular.

Black Friday being a prime example

  • Can't Bernanke be considered Wesley Mouch?

  • Notice how the bilderberg owned media, FOX, tries to paint a bad picture of the book and the institution by breaking away to ignorant crowd members smirking and shaking their heads and the announcer's retarded remarks at the end.

  • Barney Frank is Wesley Mooch. Spot On, Baby!

  • Hey there, thanks for posting this!!!!!!

  • Well I don't agree with her when it comes to faith I do agree with her that individuls are what run the world. That we should have free will.

  • God bless John Stossel!

  • I love how this tumor crew can't figure out that 'rich' does not mean 'talented' hhahahahaha

  • @KhalidSchaichRohamid tumor crew?

  • Written out of Hate? Is'nt it amazing what a pushed Altruism type attitude onto us has created in the form of group think. I just read the book and dont see any hatred from Miss Rand at all unless it involves Forced Government Control over Individuals.

  • The scene in the book where the train stops in the tunnel due to negligent parts resulting in dozens of deaths stands out.

  • I for one will do only what Fox tells me to, free-thought is for evil sinners!

  • I have yet to meet a Liberatarian who is a self-centered piece of shit.

  • Im a freshman in high school and i am currently reading this. At this moment, i am at page 400: if i can commit myself to it, any American can.

I will say, however, I think Ayn's view on love, specifically between Dagny and Rearden, has been distracting... Traditional people (but, perhaps statement that is a contradiction, according to this book) will be unhappy as they first begin to read. It is unraveling fast and is by no means what the book is about, so i highly recommend it to anyone!

  • I wouldn't trust any of those celebrities to not twist the book into a farce. Better pick up the pace passing around and giving the book away while I still can before any of the wretches get something out there on film.

"Hate", John, I hope you tell them where Rand came from to this country. It's no mystery how she knew where we were going.

  • I'm one libertarian who things Objectivists suck.

  • Thank you for sharing your feelings, hagbard72.

    Now: have you any thoughts?

  • Yeah, really.

  • @hagbard72

    Why?

  • @wchunter They have a screwy philosophy and they're hypocrites. They're against the state, unless that state is Israel and their collectivism is anti-Arab/muslim.

  • @hagbard72 i am an objectivist who thinks libertarianism sucks

  • @badgerattoadhall glad you feel that way.

  • good very good

  • It's good that they make the point that both Republicans and Democrats are to blame for our current woes.

  • Atlas Shrugged should be read and evaluated by all Americans. But it won't, because a person actually needs to commit to reading 1168 pgs

  • It's not quite Proust.

I've read all of Rand, all of Proust, all of Tolstoy, Balzac and all of Dostoevsky.

Of all of them Rand provides a reader with a cogent, sound and closed system for how one should view life.

Schopenhauer, Kierkegaard, Nietzsche and Wittgenstein are very thought provoking but are not as sound as Rand.

Rand was not as smart as these people, but truth as a simple notion - she never sent anyone in circles.

Smart people tend to believe in more elaborate bullshit though.

  • @ski1pros Novels have been written as trilogies frequently. Millions of people read them. Those types of stories are typically over 1500 pages long, and the reader many times finds themselves wishing the story were longer. You would be surprised how many would consider 1168 pages to be somewhat of a short story.

  • @hubristime I hear what you're saying, but I stand by my comment. 68% percent of American's do not read A BOOK for leisure after high school, much less a 1000+ page book or series

  • @ski1pros lol well, I'm 300 in ;-)

  • @ski1pros Read it on "Books On Tape". It's unabridged. All the important parts are there, the words

  • @ski1pros I know, its absolutely pathetic how uninspired and lazy we are, I am 15, in a public school, have normal classes, and am a social outcast....AND I CAN READ IT EASILY AND UNDERSTAND IT! Took me about two weeks and that didn't involve any perpetual reading whatsoever, just a few hours a day. It doesn't take commitment, it takes anyone with a intelligence above that of a sixth grader. But no matter what your or I say they wont do it, they will just wait for the whole series to come out.

  • @davedavedaveannoy1 It's not a hard book to read, just lengthy. I've enjoyed every page and i'm about 2/3rd of the way through.

  • @TumisHumis Indeed, but it does contain complex and abstract ideals, concepts, and processes not understood by most Americans with the addition that many simply lack the patience to read through thoroughly or even read through at all.

  • @davedavedaveannoy1 Right! I totally agree with you, I am in High School and I read part 2 in one month. And I am almost finishing the part 2 and could finish it before I have to hand back the liberary.

  • @ski1pros I'm halfway through, the book is changing and re-affirming my belief in conservatism and freedom from government. This is not not a self-help book though it is changing my life for the better.
