Yes, Album/Music sales play a big part of showing who's popular and she's proven that. I adore Carrie (have both her cd's and love country music.) To me Kelly was my fave since the start with Carrie 2nd, but that trend has shifted with David Cook coming on top for me this year ! :)

There were some good women singers this year like Brooke White, Carly, Seyesha, Amanda (to name some) but they paled in comparisson to the vocal ranges and/or performances by David Cook, Dave Archuleta, Michael Johns for a few examples - now as for the "fag" comment - it was inapropriate & it took away from your credible comment.

David Cook has the strongest/unique vocal by far. I feel David A. tried out to soon for American Idol. Should have waited until after high school at least. Syesh's voice is not very unique. Has anyone noticed when they do the group songs, how weak David A's voice sounds? David Cook blows the other competition away everytime when its his time to sing his part of the song. Michael had the 2nd strongest voice for the males and Carly for the females. Loved Brooke. Pure heart. Loved Jason, too.

If there is any justice in this compeition yes, David Cook will be #1, lil dave archuelta will be 2nd - they are the only 2 out of this worse top 4 I have ever seen. Ok you do raise a valid point, his judging is probrbaly taken more seriously and listened to the most - but not always. Take this year with Michael Johns and most recently Carly Smithson. He praised Michael many times, and most recently Carly whom he raved about the night before she left - they both went home early. Past seasons people who he really liked such as Melinda, Chris Daughtry did't make the finals.
