Fantastic,as usual,I grew up with Johnnie Mathis' music.I lived the magic of his songs. The vocals take me to "another plane" of existence, then calmly set me back to this "world" in which I must live for now.Thank you for your gracious sharing.
Dear Gerry. Thank you for giving all of us not English, not able to se this on tv in 1981, this great treasure. YouTubes nr.1-treasure. Misty is his song, and he sings it just as beautiful now, as he hoped he would. I would have given ANYTHING to own thes videos. No sums of money is to big. Can anyone help me? He sure is a sight for any eye, with his beauty. Haunting song.
Thank you for the great video! Cute conversations . . . almost 75 and he can still "grunt out" Misty. Can hardly wait for his new CD out in September.
My favorite song in the world sung by my favorite singer in the whole world. He can still hit that high note, I heard him do it in his December, 2009 concert a few months ago. I like these videos where Johnny share something about himself, thanks for the upload.
Be still, my heart!!!! Sorry, Gerry, I just can't help commenting again. How can one man be so handsome, have such a spectacular singing voice (and speaking one), and be so loving and lovable?? God sure threw away the mold after He created Johnny Mathis. I love the way he annunciates and you can understand every word he sings and ends each word, also. Plus, I love the way he sings love songs slowly. God bless, thanks again, Gerry.
Thank you, Gerry, for this most beautiful song sung by the greatest vocalist of the century. It will always be one that makes anyone think of Johnny Mathis when they hear it by anyone else...Heaven forbid that anyone would even try to sing it. It is sort of like thinking of Tony Bennett when you hear 'I Left My Heart in San Francisco'. I love to watch his facial expressions in every song.
We went to his 50th Anniversary Concert, in Las Vegas, when he was 72, and he kept us on the edge of our seats, just as when he was younger. Actually, he is younger than me, still. I'm 75 today, and Johnny will be 75, in September. He says, "I work at my craft," and it shows! Thanks, Gerry!
He does much more than 'grunt' it out! How cute. He is so understated. What a gentleman. And we certainly all- to use the phrase- get 'Misty' when we hear him sing this song- no matter how many times- it's always wonderful. Thanks so much for sharing the interview and the song!
Me encanta Johnny Mathis, sus canciones tienen mucho romanticismo y sensualidad.

You got it brother! You sing so well and I try so hard to sing along with you but I fall off
the boat. You have great vocal control.
