  • So on this one they have to raise like 200 dollars but on the new one they have to rais a million dollars?

  • Definately one of the saddest scenes in movie history...thankfully Muppets Take Manhattan has a happy ending.

  • WHAT IS THIS! I've never seen this movie and it's already breaking my heart!

  • We have a LOT to thank Jim Henson for.....

  • i really want this song at my funeral. i listened to this and i thought, RIP Jim, you brought so much laughter to the world, and i hope now to the angels. Jim Henson was amazing

  • The song I want played at my funeral.

  • Ok that has ALWAYS AMAZED ME in 1:14, seeing a muppet riding a bike on its own, I mean it could be explained today how it was done, but that was really amazing

  • Everytime I hear this song I saw I'm not going to cry thist time, and by the time i get to Fozzie's part i'm bawling.. You have to have a heart of stone if this doesn't get to you. :(

  • I don't know why but I sing this song in a normal voice but when it goes to Gonzo's part I try to sing in his voice. I LOVE GONZO!!!!

  • Dude, The Muppets are an epic frikin Masterpeice!

  • this song reminds me of my friend Chachi. I miss ya man.

  • We had to put down my dog on monday. I posted this song on facebook in her memory. Indie was such a great dog. She lived for 14 years. She was a fighter she survied getting hit by 2 cars when she was younger. She was a lover, she would come put her head in my lap or lick my hand when i was crying. Now she is gone. She got sick, she was not getting better. We had to do it, but that dosen't make me miss her less. I love you Indie, goodbye i hope i can see you again one day

  • @LiveN4acting You have my condolences. I'm sure you gave your dog a long and happy life.

  • @LiveN4acting :(

  • this makes me cry ssssooo much

  • this makes me cry ssssooo much

  • Damn it, I cried.

  • at least there's one happy note on this; Electric Mayhem didn't break up!

  • this made me cry when i was a youngster!

  • I like that no one has disliked this song.

  • To this day I can't watch this without crying. :-)

  • ''Somehow I know,we'll meet again,not sure quite where,and I don't know just when,you're in my heart.so until then,it's time for saying goodbye...''

These lyrics remind me of my dad,he passed away suddenly in October 09,I was only 13,now 15 and I just can't hold back the tears.

  • wow, there's actually no dislikes on a vid? Thought I'd never see that XP

  • @externalbleeding100 come on man don't be a douche.

  • I DO! SHE WAS MY FRIEND YOU DORK!

  • I remember seeing this in the theater. They even had books with the story, pictures and movie credits (the minister that marries Piggy and Kermit is a minister in real life - they got MARRIED). This song tore me up, then. Now, I'm moving from a place I love. This was the first song I thought of. Thank you, Mr. Henson, for giving us The Muppets.

  • my friend sandy died of cancer yesterday and i wrote a song that sounds alot like this

  • Among all the scenes in movies I recall watching as a child this particular one is probably one of my most revered. I'm not sure really how old I was when I first saw it, however, it still brings a tear to my eye. One thing is for sure, they don't make family/childrens movies like they used to. Anyone that criticizes this scene has serious issues in my opinion. I Miss Jim Henson a lot, for he was one of the world's greatest. We are definitely poorer for having lost him so soon.

  • @mike10241981 I could not agree with you more. I'm a guy who's almost 22 and when I saw this recently I got choked up. I wish I could've been around in the Jim Henson era of the Muppets but I was only 1 when he died.

  • This song makes me cry.

  • NOW I'M SAD:(

  • Why couldn't Scooter ride off on a scooter instead of a bike?:(

  • @Shockage .....Actually yeah I'm surprised they didn't think of that, lol.

  • I am hosting my very last Kids Kamp show this Christmas day on WDBX.org

community radio for southern illinois - i believe i have found my last song

and a short cry - with love momma c

  • I was gonna be a prick and thumbs down this, just so I could be the 1st. But at :50 I couldnt do it. Damn you Scooter Muppet. Your sweet sweet voice gets me everytime!

  • how was scooter riding a bike when HES A PUPPET?!

  • @Clinton0707 Like how many licks of a Tootiseroll pop.. I guess the world will never know ;)

  • @invalidcookie well Kermit rode a bike in The Muppet Movie. I think the puppet was somehow attached to the bike and they had a special device that could pull up the pedals, and something else pulling the bike forward to give it the illusion that Kermit was "riding." They may not have had a huge advanced way of doing it back in 1978 when they shot it, but I bet it would be a lot harder to do it back then, unlike today when it's done with computer effects. -_-

  • @Clinton0707

because back in the day... when i watched this in the theater...(as a child) you had to MAKE movie magic. Anyone can do it now. That's what made this special.

  • Fozzie's part was heart breaking. <3

  • @TheKinia15 go fxxxk off

  • to me this song is like the muppet preformers saying goodbye to jim henson :-(

  • this is being played at my funeral!!!!! not that i will be there to enjoy it .... :( :P x

  • Great song, great movie, the old muppets are the best! :-)) Thanks Jim!!!

  • I like to sing this to my niece when I have to leave and she starts to cry, she's 2 so it's a good message

  • Jim Henson and Sammy Davis Jr passed away on the same day, ABC News did a dual tribute to both legends with Saying Goodbye. I cried watching that, now when I hear the song i think of it, and still have tears

  • @ Danskoe...ME. TOO!!!! LOLOLOL

  • I thought I would rewatch this just to see if I would cry... yeah, I did.

  • keeps me crying :'( love it

  • "You're in my heart...so until then...it's time for saying goodbye!" AWW! That part always makes me shed a tear or two. (or three)

  • "wanna smile, wanna cry" Fozzie Bear. Just beautiful, and so remarkably tear-making

  • @jamieh1974 I know! His part was the best of the whole song!

  • God damn...

  • :'(

  • I was fine until the line "Somehow I know we'll meet again...etc." and then for some reason I just broke

  • Okay, I'm 15 years old, and i was fighting back tears when I saw this song just now. It's just that good.

  • I always cry when I hear the part Fozzie sings...but, then again there's always at least one song in every muppet movie that makes me want to cry.

  • :'(

  • As a 21 year old guy (born 1989 NOT 1992) this did make me choke up. Very sad . . . it's just the tune and the words that are sad. Thanks for posting, this is one of my favorite Muppet movies.

  • @italianman1992 I don't blame you my friend I actually never cried when I heard this song as a child However as a grown man I almost feel like sheading a tear because this song reminds me of how I miss my old friends from College

  • Maybe if tht happened muppets would still b around but it wouldn't b good without jim Henson

  • Yea to bad Jim Henson almost agreed to have him and disney work together until he died and his son make one of the movies

  • boohoooooooooooohoooooooooooooooooooo THE MUPPETS MADE ME CRY!

  • I love the muppets!!!

this is so sad :'(.. the thought that they might never see each other is heart shattering.

I agree with Danskoe but as well when u see the waving to each other it makes me think how sad it would be to be them.

  • Love this song <3

  • to bad the world had to say goodbye to jim henson so early

  • @SAJ0129: Agreed. The symbolism of this--in knowing of Jim Henson's passing (along with Don Salin, Richard Hunt, Jerry Juhl, et al)--is endearing, heartfelt, and gut-wrenching. "You're in my heart so until then, it's time for saying goodbye."

Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street (Queens, New York)

This is what we call The Muppet Show (London, England)

Muppet Babies; we make your dreams come true (AKOM/Toei Japanimation)

Dance your cares away...Down at Fraggle Rock (Toronto, Canada)

  • we are doing this song for a final song at a choir concert this year. its really sad because all my friends are leaving me this year!!!

  • im doing a report on the muppets.

  • I love this song , beat one in any Muppet movie .

    But this makes me cry

  • this part made me cry when i was little and still does. thank you for the muppets jim henson we love you

  • This song is SO sad! It makes me cry every time I hear it!

  • 2:20 Aw, no Fozzie Bear! Don't cry! You'll all be back together by the end credits, you'll see. Cheer up pal. H-Hay I know, why don't you tell us your new jokes?

  • Saddest of the Muppet songs :(

  • This is a wonderful song from a great movie.

  • I remember seeing this clip on Jim Henson's death report on Entertainment Tonight.

  • Muppets Take Manhattan, the first Ninja Turtles and Dark Crystal. My favorites.

  • This made me cry as a child too, but i'm sruprised after not seeing it in 25 years how i cry the same. Jim Henson was a genius, i miss him.

  • god, this always made me cry when I was younger

  • @eliud82 Coincidentally my parents got the tape to this movie right around the same time that they moved from Massachusetts to Maryland even a few years after the song still sometimes made my mom cry remembering her old friends back from old neighborhood.

  • @eliud82 By "when you were younger" you mean 2:52 minutes ago when you started watching it? Because if so, me too.

  • @eliud82 When you were younger? Dude, this makes me cry now!

  • A very touching song and scene in "The Muppets Take Manhattan". This song is a great and sad song, a song with heart.

  • the king of puppet's Mr. Jim Henson!!! he rock's!! R.I.P Jim you are deeply missed!!!

  • Richard Hunt's and Jim Henson's parts in this song destroy me. Every time.

  • Jim Henson was a genius. If puppets can make us feel sad and/or uplifting, then that really shows true talent.

Since I've seen this Muppet movie the most of all the Muppet movies, I consider this one my true favorite.

  • @1985Nebraska: Me too. Outside of Muppet Family Christmas--which brings together Sesame Street, The Muppets (The Muppet Show, Muppets Tonight, & Muppet Babies), and Fraggle Rock during the most joyous time of the year--this movie was the finale of The Muppets origiinally, with Jim Henson passing on and the pig & frog tying the knot for all time.

  • I cry everytime I watch this. I first saw it in 1986 and I've seen it LOADS. It's so perfect

    .

  • Possibly one of the saddest, best Muppet songs ever. Nay, best song ever, period. I've seen this movie over 50 times and I still cry.

  • one of the best muppet songs ever

  • This song is so sad...even when I'm watching the movie. Its kinda weird how even Muppets have experienced the pain of leaving people you love behind...

  • Amen to that.

  • I'm seriously crying right now. it's such a sad, but sweet scene.

what makes it worse is that I just lost a grandparent, and it's hard to say goodbye.

  • I totally understand that. Not only are muppets like real people to me, but they also make me cry like the prone to crying individual that I am.

Does any one else notice that Fozzie's voice (Frank Oz) sounded wierd in this movie?

  • :( so sad but so sweet.

  • one for all ages!!!!! thanks for uploading!

  • One for the ages!!!
