Georgia joined russian empire in 1800 consisting only of Kartli and Kaheti principalities which make up less then 1/4 of modern territory of Georgia. S.Osetia and Abhkazia were joined to Georgia by communists in XX century. Georgia joined russian empire in 1800 consisting only of Kartli and Kaheti principalities which make up less then 1/4 of modern territory of Georgia. The rest of the lands were joined to Georgia by Russia during last 2 centuries.

This is just plain awful honestly, Ossetia originaly was split unfairly in 1990 it somehow got under Georgia banner and nobody wanted that.
Ossetia has lots of people with Russian passes and place is getting violently attacked by Georgia, what else should Russia do anyway?
Also in my country i read forums and im very saddened Latvians are actually supporting Georgia...shocking. Hopefully everything calms down, and mr Tsakashvili and whole government gets arrested.
