Absolutely fabulous performance. Kraus and Bergonzi , although very different types of tenors, are the two greatest of the 20th century. The fraction of a second before Kraus sings the interpolated high C should be studied by all young singers. Just watch his facial expression as he adjusts the diaphragm and face muscles just prior to singing the note. Thank you so much for posting this.
