  • Hah! I clicked this thinking it would be about a French Canadian accent dialogue and found out it was telling swear words. This reminds me of my French-Canadian grandma who, when we visited France, says while she can't always understand them and they cannot always understand her, she says that "at least I know how to swear at them."

  • Now THIS is how they should be teaching French in Canadian schools!

  • I'm Canadian, and last year we got a teacher from France. While all our previous teachers were from Quebec. At the end of the year, we went to Quebec. And somehow, people from Quebec said we sounded more like we were from France then Canada. Our teacher found it funny (as well as the "helper" teacher, who's from Quebec) Montreal est un vraiment belle ville...I don't think my grammar was right, then again I'm in immersion lol

  • The first thing I noticed were your boobs, and at the beginning you look like you want to seduce someone.

  • Lool!

  • tes tellement laide ahahaahhah

  • im from south korea and its interesting to see how some of the words you said in the video are actualy EXACTLY the same in korean :) words likle calisse...or ciboire.. theyre swear words in korean also!!

  • i been living in montreal for a year now, and i dont think im ready to swear in french yet. i do hear tabaranak, colis, and criss alot, but i'll just stick with SHIT and FUCK and GODDAMN. lol

  • Those are all bad swear words used mostly by uneducated people for lack of vocabulary. Learn french, try the quebec accent if you wish but be carefull around who you swear. Kind of F word carefull.

    Thumbs up or down québecers?!!?

  • @okkrom I'm not uneducated at all, but when I'm mad or I get hurt I can throw a TARBARNAK or COLISS or even both lol.

  • "The wonderful thing about this is that you can use them for every purpose." hahaha, oh gawd

  • QUÉBECOIS POINT !

  • What a wonderful video! This brings back geat memories -- thanks so much for it. In New Hampshire, I used to work decades ago with a Quebecois carpenter named Raoul Caplette who could swear more impressively than any other American I've ever known. His favorite when he hit his thumb was an extremely loud TABERNAC!!!" I love visitng Quebec itself, by the way -- especially in the winter. Great people and history there!

  • Lol!!!

  • i'm a french dude from france and i'd really love to live in quebec someday, what do french canadians think of french people? will i be frowned upon? will people look me down for being from france? are french canadians likely to despise the french?

  • @JeagerGray I don't think it would really matter that you came from France if you moved to Quebec. The Quebecois, aside from the Separatist's giving Quebec a bad rep with the rest of Canada, Quebecois are actually very friendly. The only think I'd say you'd have a problem with would be understanding them because I heard Parisian French is very different from Canadian French....but perhaps you could adapt? And no. Canadian French do not hate the French, not by a long shot haha.

  • @Moirah148 give respect to ppl, separatists only feel alone in the english ocean all around them...

  • @Bashnutter Ah, I'm not disrespecting them at all! (I didn't even realize I was..) I can sympathize with their feelings, but I'm just acknowledging that not everyone really feels that way since the rest of Canada doesn't really understand, so they take it more as Quebec trying to break up a nation more then anything. And because of those feelings it stereotypes the French Canadians in general.. I know it sounds rude, but I don't really know any other way to put it....I'm sorry, I didn't mean it.

  • @JeagerGray no of course not french canadians like french people . there are any french living here in montreal and from what i know they love it :) Les quebecois ont juste un probleme avec les francais quand ils se moquent de notre accent , mais la plupart sont ouverts et nous nous aimons bien :) xx

  • @JeagerGray I disagree with Julie... You would, of course, be ridiculed and in some situations even spat upon by the Quebecois. The francophones would despise you for speaking in a dialect which we consider too westernised for our taste. The anglophones would despise you because to speak french is to be a second-class or inferior being in Quebec. French in Quebec is on life-support. The arrival of technology such as youtube is dooming canadien french speakers to a flood of superior media. so sad

  • @PrintingEssentials Ok seriously what are you talking about with the arrival of technology... do you even live here??? We don't live in the same country for sure because we don't have those problems at all. For english canadians looking on french canadian maybe but last part is completly wrong.

  • @jolol4 Thanks I might be a bit older and perhaps not as liberal as I should be, but when I speak of technology, I'm going back to a more distant era. We lived in a more clouded fish bowl once upon a time. I recall my parents being friendly with those they spoke of with a wry intonation as "The English". Among my friends were many "English" kids who spoke exactly as I "heard" myself speak. We were in many ways isolated then. Today, there is so many more forms of communication to "listen to" now

  • @charlesgsqc +1

  • @JeagerGray

A great way to start up would be to speak french in the first place.

  • I don't know whether there is a god or not, but if there is this heavenly chick's going straight to hell. Incidently, is european french much different to canadian french? What about the rate of speaking and accent? I know that american english is spoken a bit slower than australian english. When I speak with my US work colleagues I have to consciously speak slower. If I speak normally to the other Australian in the group the americans can't understand us.

  • @rooko12345 Lol, There is a big difference just on this side of the Atlantic. I work (in Massachusetts) with people from Alabama and they sound very different than my anglophone relatives from New Brunswick, Ca. At work I frequently have to have them repeat what they said.

LOL

  • I'm québecois and I want to say you don't have to swear to fit in. Most of the people do appreciate any kind of spoken french in québec. Unless you are a teenager IMHO you don't need to swear to be understood.

  • Jai honte d'etre Canadienne , ( Quebecoise ) maintenant... xd

  • Poutaine

  • hello! I am Canadian too ! Very interesting! I want to learn French.. I just came on Youtube...J'ai souscrites!

  • @kikaching888 thanks ! :) i appreciate :) glad you liked it xx

  • You are very annoying

  • Comment removed

  • I don't understand because your French is incomprehensible.

  • over bottox

  • @evasandoval i tottally agree with you that we should NOT have to swear to be accepeted, but we ARE here in the countryside (je sais meme pas pk on parle en anglais xD...anyway) and by big city i meant big city in quebec. those in the big city swear less than in the countryside, especially in montreal. i remember that the first word we learnt to the only non-white student of our school was tabarnak, and even if i think its dumb, its the way it is
