  • Looks like a very weather proof system. I like the pulley style ridge line.

  • Very nice! loving the set, would love to try it. how much did it cost, all in?

  • @manilacrew The Blizzard Survival Bag costs $30, Bayer Hammock $30, Nylon Poncho $20 and the garbage bag was only a few cents.

  • @trailgear555 alright thanks alot man! :) btw, is there any chance that you can DIY the survival bag? does it have layering and insulations? thanks alot!

  • @manilacrew The Blizzard survival bag is made of layers of Relexcell which is a high grade mylar material. The Reflexcell utilizes cellular construction to trap warm air while elastic draws the material close to your body. I don't see a DIY application for this superior product. For the cost of only $30, you can't beat this product. I keep one with me at all times when I'm on the trail.

  • what about condensation?

  • @bushcraftmyway I have found that by opening the foot end of the bag, there is a route for the condensation to vent. There may be a slight dampness to the inside of the Blizzard Survival Bag in the morning, which dries very fast when you open the bag. This is intermitting, some mornings the bag is perfectly dry. For a survival situation the Blizzard Survival Bag is a winner!
