hey al, love all your videos. when using bigen do you perform the skin test on your clients before you apply it and do any of them have adverse reaction to it. I ask this cause i've been reading lot of negative comments on it and since you use it, i wanted to hear your take on it.
@demha85 Yea I do. I never had a problem in my 10 years of using it. Ther are people who are adverse reactions to peanuts. Do we all stop eating peanuts?
can i just apply this to the linign and not the whole head? I want a real define lining..idk if you heard of that ksi product but thats the type of lining I want..
@jaymaklarynTV Then you need to find a barber that does. This procedure might look easy because somone else is doing it, but it's not easy at all and you'll be looking crazy if you don't mix it and apply it right.
@alsmillions thnks alot for the info im going to try and find some one that does it do you think a hair salon might know what there doing for the dye part then goin to get lined up at a barber?
damn i like that bigen better than the black out spray can you apply the bigen on long hair or would it just be smarter to get your hair dyed by those lil boxes?
I have learned so much about Bigen from your videos. I just have one last question, In one of the videos details I belive it says Bigen is good for a few weeks. Now is it ok to repeat the dye process after each cut or is it best to wait a few weeks before cuting again so that you can use the Bigen?
No it doesn't for 2 reasons: I'm only trimming on the outside of the dye and I wipe continually and clean them after each cut. Watch my other bigen vds to see how I do it. 10 years of doing it this way and I never messed a liner.
Hey bro, that was a perfect line up there, I also have a receding hairline so I want to use the biegn blackout, but I don't think i should do this myself, could i bring it to a barber so he could do it, and will it still be the same price, like do you charge clients more for the cut, or is it the same price still but you can have the option to use the bigen?
No, you don't want to do it yourself. A good Bigen dye job could run you $35.00 - $50.00 with cut. Remember, this is an art, and every barber can't do it. So you need to ask around and see samples of their work.
yea true, thanks! We got alot of barbers but i doubt they do this like yours, most around here are pretty weak, and have terrible line ups. But how long does the bigen dye stay usually?
It's not cheating. You do what works for you. His hairline has gone back and his beard doesn't grown fully, so he's doing what millions are doing everyday.... Enhancing what they have or don't have.
Yes, you cut the hair first and you give the hair a light lineup. Apply Bigen and lighty lineup again to remove unwanted application of dye. Put client under dryer until hair is dry. Wash out with conditioner ONLY. Dry hair and touch lineup with clipper or straight razor.
Mix it into a paste. It should not be runny and not too thick either. Loose enough so you can put some on a brush and not have it immediately drip off. Brush it on, then put some heat on it to dry it. Then wash it out with conditioner ONLY, no shampoo. Shampoo will wash away too much of the dye.
hey how much would you charge 4 something like that??

@jaymaklarynTV If you never used Bigen, I do not suggest that you try it yourself. You can purchase Bigen in any hair care or beauty supply store.

do you fade first then put the dye in? and if so does the dye leave a line where you stopped on the taper?
jalenhouse06 2 years ago
Fade it first. When applying dye stop a quarter inch above faded area then use a dry brush and lightly brush it down fading it out with the hair.
