I agree with Manson that hoping you will not go to hell is not very spiritual. If someone is a true Christian, then they KNOW that they will not go to hell. However, he seems to confuse Christianity with Catholicism (as a lot of people do, thanks to the ecumenical movement in our day, which has confused a lot of people.). But they are NOT the same thing. Some of the things that Manson rejects about "Christianity" are the same things that biblical Christians reject. He seems oblivious to that.

Again, I'm not hearing him denigrate Islam or Judaism or Buddhism, or Hinduism. These are all organized religions. They believe in higher power But Manson selectively denigrates only Christianity. I'm an atheist but I don't denigrate others beliefs if they choose to worship. That's what real atheism is.
