  • Thanks god!

  • the picture used in this video was the best kit he ever had of all his kits

  • TAMA power!! \m/

  • Not that Lars sucks but, for heavy metal he's only OK compared to drummers like Mike Portnoy, Mike Mangini, Joey Jordison and others

  • @gmatsue84

yes drum wise you are right, but...music wise Lars is a genius, and all the guys you mentioned are not. Metallica is the biggest Heavy band on earth because of Lars unique vision on music.

  • @juv3ntin

Where exactly did Lars do anything? Lars is more like their businessman. The real genius is James Hetfield man. He was the one who created 99% of their songs, when you see Lars' name as a composer... well all he does is "no, play 345 not 344545" if you understand me.

When james was looking for a drummer and lars showed up in their jam, James said "dude, are you sure you play the drums" then he said he'd call lars and never did. In the end, lars called him

  • @gmatsue84

Lars has written on every Metallica song with the exeption of Motorbreath.

you are speaking through you arse...

  • @juv3ntin

" when you see Lars' name as a composer... well all he does is "no, play 345 not 344545" if you understand me."

Try to understand this, and you'll get it all.

  • @gmatsue84

you really don t deserve the effort... you have your head up your arse so deep it s probably imposible to get it out by now.

give lars the respect he deserves, at least for putting 1.000.000 drum sticks into kid hands...

  • @juv3ntin

Look, just because after you bought some CDs and there it was written "Hetfield, Ulrich" it doesn't mean he wrote it, and most importantly, that he is a genius, in fact if you compare him to most of the other drummers you'll see he is also not a very good drummer... just compare what he does to what he could have done in most of metallica songs

  • Thanks for the covers, this is a good Wrench

  • I'm a Bass player and I practice Fade to Black with this drum track, I love the way that the Bass Guitar and the Drums become like brothers in a song!

Long life to music.... Long life to Metallica!!

  • nice play on tom toms

  • Hi there, I was wondering how you were able to censor out the other instruments and the vocals and just get the drums? Did you use a special program that did that?

  • @Quakelord1991 Audacity usually works =)

  • @WorldPaintedBlood97 Are there tutorials on how to do that? I know the program is normally used for making Karaoke tracks. But I would never think that it would remove other tracks.

  • @Quakelord1991 I'm not sure, if you can remove the vocal's i can't see why you couldn't remove the guitar and bass too.

  • gotta love playing the guitar to this...

  • Lars sucks big time!!

  • @metallicaandkornrock you fucking suck man lars is the drummer from metallica you are not! pussy

  • @metallicaandkornrock your mom sucks.

  • Hey everyone, you need to check this place out - not spam, completely related btw

It's a collection of more than 700 studio guitar, drum, bass and other isolated tracks just like this one and you can download them for free (there's no catch)

    tracklibraryOblogspotOcom (replace "O" with ".")

    Just trying to be helpful

  • SNARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • From 4:47 and out through the song is the best :D

  • i wish lars still had this drum kit :(

  • If you complain about tuning two bass drums, you're a pussy. Two bass drums sound way better than a double pedal on one. It looks badass too.

  • 5:48 epic

  • master of puppets got the best snare drum sound ever!

  • Lars is actually playing double bass on the record, I've always thought he only does that during concerts... cool.

  • I saw them live in early 09 when they first got the tour started. They were in D.C. so no pyro, but they were on fire. Lars missed a few double bass parts, but still they put on a good show.

  • he does, but you dont hear it as good, often if it's fast, like in dyers, you can hear one loud thud, and then low and then a loud again, i don't blame him, he's been going for quite a while.

  • tfkhellzone-on every concert lars do the double bass part without problem

  • _\m/

  • Lars Ulrich Was a master mine of the Double bass pedal Backthen he could play this some with no promble and Now his old but if he Trys now He can hit the Double bass Part with no promble. Respect Him.

  • @tfkhellzone

well hes smart....he knows if he does double bass 4 everything he will prbably mess up later

  • he is still legit

  • how do you get this

  • Comment removed

  • 5:48 .... (L)

  • lol wow you can really hear the edit at 5:48 where he kicks into the double bass pattern (where it first starts). This is a drum track (imo) that definitely sounds better with all the accompaniment. His drumming (and the editing) certainly became quite a bit better on Master of Puppets. I do realize they were actually physically cutting tape to do the edits so i can cut some slack :-)

  • wow!

I never realised how nice Lars's cymbals were on this song!!

  • Comment removed

  • \m/ \m/ respect

  • Wow which is easier: To play with two bass drums? Or a double bass pedal

  • bass drums

  • @chisox91 - Actually, it's much easier to play with one bass. Sure the slave kick throws the tone off a bit, but it's less of a pain to deal with when it comes to tuning. And having one bass gives you that much more space.

  • @chisox91 why? :)

  • @jakenavtv

    2 bass drums

two pedals muffle the sound of the bass

but 2 bass drums are more expensive in general

  • @jakenavtv definitely easier to play two bass drums. You should be able to both if you can play double bass, but having two drums not only sounds better but because you have two seperate pedals firmly attached to two seperate drums it prevents your feet from sliding forward pushing the left pedal away. At least that's my experience.

  • @jakenavtv I think you get a better sound using two bass drums. My kit has one drum and and a double pedal because it was cheaper. Gotta choose what's more important :)

  • @z341 Yeah, but you have to tune bouth bass drums exactly the same. Good luck with hauling around two bass drums and then tuning them to perfection.

  • @Headbanger270

I have two bass drums. Not only is it EASY to tune them, it's not hard to "haul" around, both don't take up much space. It's easier to play with two because you have FREEDOM.

  • @thebogeymaniscoming I'm not saying it's completely hard, just hardER and lengthier than tuning one and they take up more space than one bass drum, obviously. May be easier to play, but the tuning and carrying and then setting up will equal out.

  • @Headbanger270

Well, as an owner of two bass drums, I haven't had many problems with the space. Tuning takes twice as long as it would with one but is double the satisfaction.

  • @thebogeymaniscoming Hey if you got the space then it's all good. Not sure where the double the satisfaction comes in, though. Care to elaborate?

  • @Headbanger270

First, it looks cooler. Hahahaha. I always get compliments at shows and everyone's always amazed by it. Second, you have room for more toms without having to use useless tom stands. Third, it looks cool. Hahahahahaha.

  • @thebogeymaniscoming double pedal is more convienint though, your lying, about 2 bass drums not taking up alot of space, i have 22 bass drums they take up more space and it does get very tiring hauling them around

  • @jakenavtv double bass pedal easier

  • @jakenavtv double bass pedal. i like the sound.

  • @jakenavtv double bass cos ur left foot is closer to where it would usually be; although i have never used two bass drums so i wouldnt know:L

  • @jakenavtv the pedal on that doesnt have a bass drum has less power

  • @jakenavtv its basicly...... same thing?

  • guess what, they get older...

  • mabay thats becuse its a picture from when the song was first intraduced dum ass

  • lars kicks ass fuck all haters!

i dnt know about u guys but i like the snare in St.anger

  • same

  • Me too.

  • wrnr8393 (1

  • @Falling12Shadow yeah me too! well sometimes it's too much noise but i like st. anger very much...just like Death Magnetic!

  • @Falling12Shadow Same, st anger is one og my fav albums.....the drummin in AJFA and MOP and St anger are my fav :)

  • @Falling12Shadow He detunes the snare so all you hear is the drum, with no snare wire, so its just a bongo like sound. It doesnt sound so great. some people love it some peopl hate it

  • @Falling12Shadow same. can't get enough of the sound

  • @Falling12Shadow

    st anger sucked period.

  • @ProgressiveMachinery WRONG! Saint anger was a very good album. End of story.

  • @MegaMetallicaboy

That's merely an opinion. Have a good listen to it. The drums sound like tin cans LMAO. The production on that album was horrible....The production on the Black Album SMOKED it.

    END OF STORY.

  • @ProgressiveMachinery Death magnwtics production was horrible too. But, I still love the album. Same with St. Anger. Songs like Frantic, St. Anger and Invisible kid are awesome!

  • @MegaMetallicaboy

Yea, I guess it all depends on your own taste. But I am correct, St Anger was horribly produced....I don't listen to new 'Tallica..older is much better..the songs were way better. They spoiled it by changing the writing procedure. Hetfield wrote everything....shoulda kept it that way...Lars can't write worth shit ..LOL

    Let's face it bro.

  • @Falling12Shadow

LMFAO. it sounds like a tin can.

  • @Falling12Shadow NO, the snare in St. Anger. Really. I hate that snare sound, if I was in that band I would of told Lars no. It sounds like he snuck into the studio late at night and turned his drum tracks up or somthing.

the old sound sounded fine and it should of been left that way, just my opinion.

  • @Falling12Shadow i like ride the lighting snare and master of puppets 2

  • @Falling12Shadow LOL you all say u like the snare in St Anger, but the actual "snare" component of drum, the very thing that makes it a snare drum, was not used at all.

  • @Falling12Shadow the snare in St. Anger is underrated, ST. ANGER IS AN AWESOME ALBUM!

  • @Falling12Shadow ST angers snare is unique, its different, thats why most people hate it, i like it a lot cause ITS DIFFERENT

  • No drum fills! Sounds so different today!

  • Does that drum-set sound sweet our what...

  • best snare sound in the world

  • Better than that joke-of-a-snare on St. Anger. Sounded like reggae beats there.

  • for me is better the snare sound of "and justice for all"

  • @CrazyForDrum I love that snare!

  • Double-bass near the ending rocks.

  • how'd you isolate all the other tracks?

  • awesome is what i meant to say

  • bozdrs

  • MetallicA!!!! classic song [:

  • WHERE DID YOU GET THIS???

  • guitar hero metallica

  • coloquen la psta de bateria de .....one... viva el metal yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • omg i love that snare!
