im a saranac virgin. always been skeptical. butttttttt. are they worth it are they unpasterized bottle conditioned or are they a tastey. ha im sure they are but if i were to buy some should i get sampler or a particular type what u thinky?
@jmohno That's a tough call. This is the first Saranac beer I've really enjoyed. I've had a few others that weren't bad, but none of them struck me as anything I would seek out. Since you're a Saranac virgin (I like that term) tasting a single bottle might be your best bet but if you can't get singles I'd go for a variety pack, at least that way you're getting a few to test out.
I find that most Saranac brews are drinkable enough but they never blow me away. Yet I keep buying them. I haven't seen that one around yet but they come up with so many mixed 12-packs it is bound to end up in my neighborhood soon.
I agree Saranac never really impresses that much. They keep making new beers all the time, though. I actually didn't see this one - it must be in their fall mix pack.
Try their Caramel Porter or the Maple porter- they're awesome!
@ChadzBeerReviews I keep a look out for those, thanks for the recommendations Chad. After this one, I'm much more open to trying some more Saranac. I got this with my monthly beer club shipment :)

@wingman240 I have had the Panther, it was way better than the Dragon. Also had the Lemon Tea, interesting but don't know if I'd go for it again.

@bedelkak Hey thanks! I could edit the burps out but I figure they're part of the experience.

What was the bear doing in the woods?
Inquiring minds need to know.

@kliljedahl Hahahaha, they didn't show it on the label, but I think we all know what bears do in the woods.
