Actually its not round, take another look. From that distance, I'd say up to a kilometre, you wouldnt be able to make out much (and the camera quality isn't great). Quite simple really, cut the engine and restart a few seconds later. Its a simple manuever to test how you handle an aircraft while learning to fly jet fighters.

As to learning jet fighters, I never heard of intentionally causing a flame-out when learning to fly a 30-million-dollar aircraft. Do a zoom on the aircraft is still unconvinced!

If you actually listen to the commentary, it is an American plance being "intercepted" by a USSR plane. THis used to happen all the time. Most of the time it was pilots from both sides having a bit ofd a laugh. The video is not fake, but if you look clsely at the beginning, I think you can see a tail-plne. I think the perspective is skewed and it is another fighter considerably further off.
An aircraft cannot make this maneuver. An aircraft can only dive at an angle with a noticible change in the angle of teh craft in relating to a "flat surface" in this case the clouds,
. The UFO in this footage demonstrates neither of these physical rules of an aircraft and enters into the clouds belly first almost straight down.
xJasterx - if you look closely, it appears to be a swept wing aircraft banking sharply left (away from the F-16 ) and down - there is a foreshortening effect making appear to be descending directly, but it isn't.
The more I look at this the more convinced I am. Look closely - you can see the swept wings at an anghle. If he banks to port and uses his tail rudder, this manouevre is feasible (I am even willing to speculate that it is a MiG-23 Flogger from the shape!!!)
Pretty compelling, given how the object tracks the F-16 while passing behind behind clouds. That cast shadow on clouds could be done with computers, but rather unlikely at that time. Watch the object reflect the color of the sky, then reflect cloud colors as it descends lower. Most likely this is a physical object of reflective metal.

Most of the time it was pilots from both sides having a bit ofd a laugh. The video is not fake, but if you look clsely at the beginning, I think you can see a tail-plne. I think the perspective is skewed and it is another fighter considerably further off.

An aircraft cannot make this maneuver. An aircraft can only dive at an angle with a noticible change in the angle of teh craft in relating to a "flat surface" in this case the clouds,
. The UFO in this footage demonstrates neither of these physical rules of an aircraft and enters into the clouds belly first almost straight down.

xJasterx - if you look closely, it appears to be a swept wing aircraft banking sharply left (away from the F-16 ) and down - there is a foreshortening effect making appear to be descending directly, but it isn't.

The more I look at this the more convinced I am. Look closely - you can see the swept wings at an anghle. If he banks to port and uses his tail rudder, this manouevre is feasible (I am even willing to speculate that it is a MiG-23 Flogger from the shape!!!)

Pretty compelling, given how the object tracks the F-16 while passing behind behind clouds. That cast shadow on clouds could be done with computers, but rather unlikely at that time. Watch the object reflect the color of the sky, then reflect cloud colors as it descends lower. Most likely this is a physical object of reflective metal.

if you listen to the guy talking (or see the whole video) it's being filmed by a mig, theres a american plane flying at the same altitude, probly they are fucking around with each other like allways happend at dureing the cold war, one or the other wondered to close to the terriorty of the enemy. not sure if it's real or not, but thats why it's a KGB video, and that's why the "wingman" didn't engage, becuase they were to busy engageing each other lol

looks real in fact the pilot's head had moved away from wathching the UFO as they both entered cloudy visibilty (which is pretty hard to do when a previous poster commented on the f-16 as a toy)

Vetul - It's refreshing to see someone else out there who actually understands what is going on. I was lucky to see Steven Greer's lecture here in the UK some years ago.
