This is basic southpaw technique your straight punch and right hook are your gotos. Jabs dont work so well from southpaw against and orthodox boxer, but he has these techniques mastered it's amazing to see.

Clotty, no head movement. Margarito is slow and has no head movement. Mosley has footwork and head movement but is slow at this stage of his career. Marquez won that fight with counter punching, head movement and footwork imo. WIthout Pacman's exceptional speed and power he would be an average fighter.

He understands and executes the science of boxing, arguably, better than any other fighter in history. The same can not be said of Manny Pacquiao IMO.

Besides his exceptional reflexes and speed, Mayweather has tremendous footwork and knows how to apply a game plan. The one gripe I have with Mayweather is he is not that impressive to me from an offensive standpoint. He usually hits with one punch, two at maximum. I know the aim of the game is to hit and not get hit...

If Mayweather is able to neutralize this with footwork and counter punching, much like Marquez, Pacquiao has no chance. IMO, Pacquiao doesn't have a second skill set he can use to get to Mayweather.

He can throw different and new kinds of punches and he can recreate more types for better offensive for his opponent to show tighter defenses. Stalking is Margarito's fighting style, however, he doesn't cut off the ring or circle his opponents as good as he use to. He did better against Cotto vs Margarito 2 but was still a beat down. Most of this wouldn't do against Mayweather, who keeps moving and imposes the distance and matches Pac's hand speed. Pacquiao wouldn't land big left hands against a guy who rolls the punches off as masterfully as Mayweather does, and southpaws cannot win a fight with the jab against conventional fighters. Triangle defense??? hahahaha that stinks, it's useless - a hard jab to the body and you will not try that again.

Paquiao is far better than Marquez, Pacquiao has the power and speed to dominate anybody in any weight division he belong's. This Pacquiao - Margarito fight is a good example of it.

@SUPEKTIDOBOL, This is the worst example. Margarito is an easy target. I give Pacman credit for the Cotto fight. Everyone else was a perfect match for him. Hatton is slow and has no head movement. Clotty, no head movement. Margarito is slow and has no head movement. Mosley has footwork and head movement but is slow at this stage of his career. Marquez won that fight with counter punching, head movement and footwork imo. WIthout Pacman's exceptional speed and power he would be an average fighter.

My point is that Pacquiao lacks boxing skill and is an exceptional fighter ONLY because of his speed and power. Mayweather, without his exceptional reflexes and speed, still has exceptional boxing skill and makes very few mistakes. He understands and executes the science of boxing, arguably, better than any other fighter in history. The same can not be said of Manny Pacquiao IMO.

Besides his exceptional reflexes and speed, Mayweather has tremendous footwork and knows how to apply a game plan. The one gripe I have with Mayweather is he is not that impressive to me from an offensive standpoint. He usually hits with one punch, two at maximum. I know the aim of the game is to hit and not get hit...

However, I'm not sure that Pacquiao has the skill set to cause Mayweather problems. Pacquiao is at his best when he is throwing punches in bunches from unusual angles. If Mayweather is able to neutralize this with footwork and counter punching, much like Marquez, Pacquiao has no chance. IMO, Pacquiao doesn't have a second skill set he can use to get to Mayweather.

He can throw different and new kinds of punches and he can recreate more types for better offensive for his opponent to show tighter defenses. Pacman has the speed and the power, good footwork and awesome stamina, but speaking about boxing technique, Pacquiao is not close to Marquez's amazing class and craftsmanship.
