i burned this a few years ago. wow it was confusing. walked around the level for about 2hrs after a heavy drinking session. finally found a character to talk to. this youtube clip is perfect, anyone thinking they might want a copy, there isnt much point. this video shows it pretty well
here in england i think imust of been only one in my school to have a jaguar all my mates took piss but when i got cd unit and showed them few games they came round to liking it bit better, i remember seeingthe pic on back of the cd units box for thisgame..... i spent £150 on the cd unit and was very very angry they were about 5 games out in uk??? i has alot of happy times withmy jag and i wish i still had it. this game looked very very good...
If anyone isn't already aware, the creator of this game is making a documentary about the making of it. It's called "Stillborn: The (Un)Making of Black Ice White Noise". Looks to be quite interesting!
man, if only Atari hadnt f-ed up so royally with how they treated developers and how they marketed the system. (not to mention making Cybermorph the pack in, gee remember when that was standard to get a game w/the system?)
its jsut sad b/c many games from late in its life looklike they really could have been difference makers. Skyhammer, BattleSphere, Phase Zero... ahh what could have been.
The encrypted alpha release you see me playing was available on the net about 2 years ago. The download came with a 'self contained' burning software, and as long as the drive used was compatible with the write mode you could burn a copy to CD-R that would play on any unmodified Jaguar.
Holy crap, it never occurred to me to look this up on YouTube! I was texture artist/chraracter artist on Black ICE\White Noise; most of those texture maps are mine! Man, even I don't have a build of the game! Thanks for putting this up!
Great to have you drop by! I'm sure that this would have been the best Jag CD game; very positive feedback from many Atari Jaguar fans about this title.
Amazing! It looks like a GTA-style adventure game, only years before such a thing was supposed to exist. As an erstwhile Jag owner who was bitterly disappointed at the time by the dearth of great games released for the system, all I can do is lament the fact that a title as innovative and as graphically stunning as this one never saw the light of day.
nice video, I've seen very little about this game. I own a Jag and 8 games. I will start to collect more stuff for my Jag. If Atari had more games like this in the beginning along with AvP, Tempest 2000 and Battlemorph maybe it would've done better.
does this version have a way to kill the guy in the Neural Shack ? if not then it is not worth playing ..

It looked very promising... could have been a kind of Tomb Raider before it was released...

So they leaked it?
sega31098 3 years ago
Some ex Atari employees 'leaked it' well after Atari dropped the Jaguar.

Wow, never watched this game in action. The 3d engine, for what its doing, seems nice and smooth. Very impressive. Thanks for posting this!

Yes there sure is. Do you frequent the Atari Age Jag forums or Jaguar Sector II forums?

Nice job on all the Jag vids Dean! Keep 'em coming.

Hey Kevin, glad you enjoyed the vids. It seems that there are many hardcore Jag fans out there. ;=)
deanpook 4 years ago
are you one of them?
sega31098 4 years ago
what, i'm just asking.
sega31098 3 years ago
But I have one last think to say: It's good to have hardcore fans of any discontinued systems so that the system is not 100% forgotten.
