This summer was the coldest summer in this area, in my lifetime. If anything, we should be guarding against the next ice age. In my opinion, activists should focus on *real* environmental problems, like cross-species genetically modified organisms, water pollution via pesticides and herbicides, and the use of mercury-filled compact fluorescent light bulbs.

I understand this and believe it to be true, there is a lot of evidence saying that our whole solar system is warming up right now. I just think it's pretty naive to think that carbon emissions are not harming the planet and that, at least minimizing these emissions, won't help. It's pretty obvious to me how negatively our species affects the environment.

This video is very sad. There are people out there that actually believe that CO2 is a pollutant.
This summer was the coldest summer in this area, in my lifetime. If anything, we should be guarding against the next ice age. In my opinion, activists should focus on *real* environmental problems, like cross-species genetically modified organisms, water pollution via pesticides and herbicides, and the use of mercury-filled compact fluorescent light bulbs.

I'm all for nonviolent protests, and I'm "with" you... I used to smile with glee when Greenpeace unfurled a banner somewhere in years past, but not anymore. It's an ineffective & weak tool that is played OUT. The stakes are higher now, people laugh it off and ignore it. Time for new nonviolent tactics via education and mass peace protests as well as voting with our $.

I heard about this on the radio, but I was picking up my friend at the Greyhound station who came in to get some G20 video footage... by the time I drove to the West End Bridge, you guys had unfortunately been arrested and we didn't get a chance to see the banner flying. I definitely saw all of you smiling when we drive by...even though your hands were all zip-tied together... A+...impeccable timing. We ain't one at a timin' here junior, we's mass communicatin'

Great Vid. Go Greenpeace! and Ben Smith! Many of us are frustrated with the Obama Administration and Congress (on many issues). They will not do the right thing because its the right thing to do, even if they want to! It will only happen from grassroots activists and organizations like Greenpeace putting enough pressure on our elected officials to make them do the right thing. This has been the case for any good policy our government has passed. NEED MORE PRESSURE! Thank you Greenpeace!

Take a drive up I-5 and see the drop of water that used to be Lake Shasta, and think again about your comment. SMELT have nothing to do with it. No the reason that those farms in california are drying up is thanks to a 1 inch long fish that is considered endangered. It's crap and it's stupid iniatives like that makes one bang their head against the wall screaming why why why are hippies so stupid.
