I am a Die hearted JETS Fan, but Revis has earned his bones, he doesn't get thrown to that much this year thus far. Am I crowning him the next deion NO. Deion had the mental and physical skills to have competed against Usain Bolt on the track given proper track training regiment he's that giften an athlete. Deion crowned Darrell a shut down corner, Darrell isn't the only shut down corner, but he's great. And the fact Darrell got burned by Randy Moss his rookie year helped him alot.

Right, this is what i been saying all along. You have one good season and your a shut down CB. Man try doing what Deion did. And deion wasnt as physical and was still putting in work.

Actually this wasn't his first great season. He played great last year too; he just wasn't getting the media attention he's getting now. And he was real good his rookie year too...he's only been in the league for 3 years. The thing with Deion was that he was great in coverage but hated the contact; never helped out in run support or made tackles. Revis sticks his receivers like glue and is a hell of a tackler as well

Anyways, it doesn't matter how long he's been in the league or if this is his first (again, actually his second) year playing this good. Take Deion for example. After the first year he hit stride as the pure cover corner he was, would you have not labeled him a 'shutdown cb' because it was his first year doing it? That's the dumbest reasoning of all time. It's not like Revis had a fluke season. He is what he is, a shutdown CB, because he possesses a skillset that makes him a shutdown CB
