@yourtubeafried where is it illegal? in my state (CA) the CVC says nothing about having your fog lights on during clear weather. The color isnt illegal either as the CVC states that fog/driving lights can be the any shade between white and yellow. if they were orange, i would agree with you.

@saltwateraquaruim as long as they are fog lights you can have them anywhere between the spectrum of yellow and white. THEY CANNOT AND I REPEAT CANNOT BE AMBER

@mkymonkey if they dont throw off light they can be amber and classified as running lights. You see amber running lights sit ontop of the fog lights of a CTS

@germanmiralda90 I bought the lights on ebay. just some round yellow lens fog lights. I used phillips h3 bulbs...they arent HID its all halogen. I think i posed a couple links in the comments below

if you want yellow lights with a HID kit you need 3000K as the color temp

as for the low beam they look to be Platnium White Xenon Charged type i have these as well

They are better in the fog, rain, etc because the yellow light does not reflect against the conditions as badly as white lights.. the yellow cuts through it.

well these are a combo of both bulbs AND covers on projectors. it all depends on how yellow you want them i guess. and of course how bright.

The only time I got shit for them was when I was driving around in the fru fru part of town. Anyway I got a ticket for them but when I went to court I fought the fact that the vehicle code for california states that driving or fog lights can be anywhere in the spectrum from white to yellow. The ticket I got was for amber lights. it was dismissed

i got em on stock 2000 corolla.....need 'em for work....yellow works better imo for dispersion during fog.....i drive to work next to road with river running along it...foe 15miles....cant see nothing....had white but they were same as my headlights so now i got yellow and i can drive 50mph safely instead of 20-30.....or 15mph.....really.....

u can buy spray can of it off internet..... i got stuff from japan....its transparent an works great....that flim stufff....depending on where ur fog lights are will prob get rock chips an fuck up the whole look of it...go with the paint easist to find but runs about 30 bucks a can...last a long time doe...i use same can on me an 4 other cars an still have spray left...the flim last only one time an the blub to.... u can take the spray off anytime as well

i bought these a loooong time ago on ebay. they're some projector style...not type fog lights that have tinted lens. i added yellow bulbs to get them like this though because the lens didnt quite cut it

I think the Luminics Krypton JDM yellow light bulbs can also produce such effect if the fog light were install close together.
