Alcoholism is a terrible illness-----like no other. You can be assured that the mother did not wake up in the morning with the thought "let's see---today I am going to continue to drink and destroy any chance that my baby has for the future". It just doesn't happen that way unless the mother is a sociopath and genuinely does not care. It is a terrible illness that takes over one's life. If you have not experienced addiction----- you really should not be judging it.
It's a neurological disorder. This isn't my opinion; it's a fact. You can see so for yourself if you would take five seconds to Google before attempting to insult someone before even having a clue what you are talking about.
If you drink or do drugs while pregnant, you most likely have some sort of mental problem. Addiction is a disease just like cancer. Instead of bashing all these mothers, you should be hoping that they find the help they need.

@Learningbyhearing do some research on FAS and you'll see the amount of disabilities and surgeries severely affected individuals have to go through, health care isn't cheap
