  • Oh man, unbeliveble, every aquarists says that a salt water aqua has to be min 200 and more liter, this is crazy%)

  • @einsteinek

you can setup a nanocube stable in 60 minutes.

just use water from a runnig reef and the soil/sand of it. Use dennerle 4in1 bio activator as filter.

Put sand in it 2-3 cm in height, water in it, light, heater, filter and then living stones. give it 8h/day light in first week, after 10h/day. After 1 Week you can set soft coralls. after 2 weeks you can set hermit crabs and prawns. fishes after 4 weeks. Thats it. Have fun, it should run stable. Check the water with tests.

  • i bet those fish are happy. i'm happy :)

  • ive got a spare 240ltr jewel rio tank and was thinking of going marine with it, any ideas on what i will need and how much?

  • @daledgend1981 You need protein skimmer, power heads at lease 10,000 litres per hour, live rock, fresh sand/crushed coral, test kits, hydrometer, RO water/RO machine with TDS meter, ermm... phosphate remover, active carbon/purigen, you need goo lighting if you havent got it already,

  • You can get a weir from intrepet for the river reef tank so you can use the v2 nano skimmers it drops the water in chamber 3 so u can put fit the skimmer

  • Hi i have this tank atm but as a tropical setup im looking into marine

what would i need to change over as i really dont know

new pump/heater and a protein skimmer?

    any help cheers

    jon

  • Skimmer is a great piece of kit ot have, but not really necessary if you keep up with water changes.

Live rock is the best thing to have in there and a power head to direct water to the live rock.

WTF - listening to coranation street whilst filming LOL?

  • @lgarvey

hey, i just got this tank, i also got a TMC compact skimmer 200. the clear piece that ther protien bubbles collect in has to be out of the water, but if i do this then the lid wont close, and if i lower it then the bubble chamber is uncer water.....what do i do? i would like to use the skimmer if i can. thanks

  • @l30afy dont need a skimmer

  • nice set up, i have just bought one and wondered was wondering what fish i could put in it, im looking at a few clowns and wanted to know what else i could add,

    cheers

  • Go to your local fish store

  • hi do you have a protein skimmer ive got one of them but it doesnt fit water level too high cant lift the skimmer up because of the lid any ideas

  • Yeah, i just bought the Resun version of this one and I have the same problem with the skimmer. I know of people that run it without the skimmer and they do fine with just water changes. My still in the last stage of cycling. I was wondering if dust like particules in the water column is normal during cycling? and if it will go away after is complete.

  • i have had no algae so far at all so im one of the lucky ones i think. Thanks for the comments.

  • how do you control algae on the back wall of the tank? my grows like CRAZY!!!

    really nice corals!
