This video doesn't scratch the surface on cuts that can be made. Get ridd of alderman and their $26,000+ expense for misc. employment. Thin out city workers are unproductive. Like the ones show cased on tv investigations. Cut pork projects before cutting education/ healthcare. Politicians are the biggest source of our finanicial distress not the social programs. Look at the budget and have the courage to reveal line by line what taxpayers are spending our hard earn money on.
Start a State Bank like North Dakota has. ND now has a 1 Billion dollar surplus. All state funds collected go to this bank not the croney banks of the current gang in power. ND also has a 4.4 unemployment rate. This isn't a quick fix but it will be an excellent start of fixing Illinois' problems. You can do a quick google search to get information on ND's bank, how it works. This means the bank profits go to the people not the private bank gangsters. Many countries use this idea as well.
