  • Great technique man!

  • imagine the bar landed on his foot.....

  • I found the perfect power clean vid, search "pyrros dimas power clean".

  • 0:12 sounded like a beast

  • How do you lift so much weight with such terrible music playing? You _must_ be strong.

  • well done

  • very good form, it takes a while to learn that though!

  • Nice!

  • very nice form

  • Nice form!! Damn... this video brings back some serious high school memories... I gotta get this excercise back into my regular workout routine. Thanks for the Video.

  • thats not a power clean. thats a full clean... power clean or hang clean comes from the knee

  • @beejolson No, hang clean comes from the knee, power clean is where you drop into the quarter squat or so...

  • @kickdim I think so...Idiot.

  • @beejolson full clean you catch in the front squat position, power clean you catch in quarter squat or above. this is a power clean.

  • its frustrating. ive been weightlifting all my life and i cant perform this excercise worth shit.

  • @hjbit Surely when something isn't working you'll look to change it up somehow...

  • @bulleuston76 not a whole lot to change up. either i can perform it or i cant. i can perform it with lighter weight but if i try increasing the weight over time i cant do it.

  • @hjbit If you can do it with light weight and you are slowly increasing it over time, this means you are improving. You must begetting to a certain point then loading too much on and failing.

  • are u supposed to put it on your neck like that when u clean?

  • @HyN0iK42 It's not on your neck, it rests on your shoulders and collarbone. This is where the bar should be, you shouldn't really be supporting it with your wrists.

  • I started for this technic off with a small weight and just the bar until i was doing little repetitions. Even practice at my peak, think of how it feels, and ask myself how heavy i’m going to perform today, i didnt avoid injury

  • wow that was amazing! i have a question: how do you go from the clean's close hook grip to the jerk's widened grip?

  • @ice0wn4g Where the fuck is the change in grip width here? Seriously

  • very well done mate.awesome.

  • excelente =) !

  • godly

  • fantastic!

  • @MrDmoney2000

    .....that's why is says POWER clean and jerk in the title. Please learn to read or gtfo.

  • @TheGrammerNazi how ironic to have that pointed out by a guy named the grammar nazi lol yeah youre right

  • i dint like the way he dropped it what if it fell on his feet..?

  • @jameshacksu ur stupid... every ifter does :P

    if they gently put it down they cud hurt there back :

  • It says -90kg, that means l90kg weightclass

  • @PhoeniciaRemembered perhaps he meant his bodyweight

  • rubber weights

  • oh snap! what's that song in the background?!? oh man I can't remember the naaaame! anyone remember??

  • love is only a feeling by the darkness.

  • Great explosiveness, and great technique, too!

  • red=25kg

    blue=20kg

    yellow=15

    green=10

    white=5

    red=2.5

    The more you know...

  • Those are Olympic bumper plates, they are not 100% metal.

    The different colors (red, blue, yellow, etc) signify different mass densities, different weights.

  • Nice lift.

  • Good technique, crisp!

  • bro you nailed that GOOD JOB looked good :)

  • 30 secs rest, VERY light load, 15-25 reps (muscular endurance)

    30-60 secs, light load, 10-20 reps, glycolitoc stress, anaerobic endurance, hypertrophy (size)

    1-2 mins, moderate load 8-12 reps (1 Rep max), muscular strength and hypertrophy

    2-3 mins, moderate-heavy, 6-10 reps (1RM) strength, hypertrophy and velocity of movement

    3-5 mins, heavy, 3-6 (1 RM), absolute strength, power

    5-7 mins, very heavy MAXIMAL (1 rep), maximal rep max and power

    7

  • @paulie6899 This looks really good, though I wish I knew what it all meant!

  • @paulie6899 You are very well informed. That was an excellent contribution.

  • and as for training outcomes, the clean and press like the deadlift are both compound (OKC), these exercises like all exercises can be manipulated to facilitates endurance, power, strength you do this by controlling yor rest periods and reps

  • This is a multi-joint exercise, or a 'compound'. Thus, the exercise is open-kinetic chain, this allows translation of weight through all the bodies joints, by isolating muscles ranslation is reduced and although the muscle 'isolated' may increase in strength, the bodies ability to use this muscle in a kinetic chain is reduced (propriception)

    the only problem with the video in question is technique...

  • How in the world is this a coaching or technique video?

  • 90kgs... is not a lot of weight

  • you missed my point. went right over your head.

  • there isn't necessarily one way to train, im sure lots of fighters lift heavy to increase explosive power, especially with big compound movements that'll help driving with the legs for takedowns etc

  • cleans aren't a bulking exercise, it it for power you spak and its called endurance

  • what you talkin about clean is a bulking exercize.

  • no it isnt, its to improve explosive power, you may get some bulk off of them, but if ur looking to bulk u dont do cleans, u do deads
