A few years ago I thought the virus war had been won by the Antivirus group and as you point out 75% of antivirus coders write viruses themselves probably to show up the competitiion. Plus with governments writing viruses as military apps I now have to get up to speed again on virus defence and security measures. Such is life ;-)

The actual design of microprocessors makes them insecure, anything that can be reversed is insecure. Also programming languages and structures such as local and global variables can be exploited. So the insecurity is at such a fundamental level, we can only chase our tails trying to patch them up. Good video.
