@TheBatman135 Phoenix is not a bad person.. she's not a person at all.. and don't let the Dark Phoenix Saga confuse you... that's not the onlly incarnation of the phoenix diety. She's a cosmic force that serves as guardian of creation and ensures that the evolution of life goes untainted.. she heals wounded universes and protects the M'kraan Crystal.. she's essentially good. Human emotions can can confuse it though and make it become corrupted for a while. this is what you mean.

Maybe as far as the X-Men go but here are a few that would be more powerful than Dark Phoenix: Beyonder, Living Tribune, The One Above All, Darkseid, maybe Thanos, Presence. @TeamTowers1 The Phoenix Force is a "force of creation" and has been described as "the sum and substance of all that is". So in a way it is an abstracked being. However it is kinda hard to judge how powerful the Phoenix is because everytime a new writer comes in they change things about the phoenix. sooooo it's really hard to say, I have just read somewhere in one of my comics that it is as powerful (or atleast on the same tier) as the Living Tribunal.

Jean IS Phoenix... And Phoenix IS Jean... Have you not done any background research on the character? They're primarily the same person.. It saved her when she was a child, and watched her from that point on... It was her birth right, as Destiny told her: "The life of a mortal is not meant for you, Jean Grey.. You're a part of the universe.. And it's a part of you.." If she WASN'T the force its-self, however.. She'd still be one of the strongest mutants in existence..

While Jean Grey was limited in her human body to carry the full power of the Phoenix force, the unbridled power of the Phoenix is quite literally able to obliterate whole galaxies.

Jean is the best PERIOD!! For people to say she's "boring" just because she didnt come from a f*cked up household or didnt have a f*cked up childhood doesnt make her boring! Most of you probably come the same type of background. Her humanity and humility made her the best. Unlike the rest of the MU females and many of the males she doesnt throw herself a pity party because tragic things happen, that they then carry into their adulthood.

Jean has been Jean has he milestone in Comic Book History as the first ever superhero to die.. Back in those days, superheroes are always winners.. they may be punched and knocked out a few times but they will still win in the end.. Jean Grey changed that perspective.. she proved that superheroes are still humans.. that like any other human, she is flawed.. like the immortal words, "Power corrupts.. and Absolute Power corrupts absolutely.."
I fell in love with Jeannie during X-Men: TAS. Of course, it was the Phoenix Saga that did it.
She was so sacrificing, and there was such a human element to the way she fought to contain the Phoenix's hunger.
And she never gives up. So, in my mind, Jean has some amazing qualities - she's definitely one of my faves (I'm one of those rare Jean AND Storm lovers).
i truly don't understand the hate towards jean; if people would look beyond the power she has you all would see how great a character she is.Jean isnt perfect and it took time and sacrifice to grip her powers, relationships, and life. the Best thing about Jean is her strong willed mind, loyalty and strength it took for her to weild the Phoenix Force and keep her sanity and not betray and destroy her x-men.

Why for example if Phoenix is so powerful didn't they use her during the Infinity Gauntlet saga or others (Onslaught). Plus what is the point of say infinity or Death, Eternity etc. I often think these holes lessen the creditable of the big sagas. Or other characters so called Godhood.

The Living Tribunal is also arguably the second most powerful. Read Infinity Watch 1 and Marvel The End. I think Thanos thought Silver Surfer in issue 50 of SS, good comic indeed.

The phoenix force doesn't have a gender, it takes males and female hosts, and even so she is not the most powerful woman of Marvel. Mistress Death and Infinity are more powerful.
I say phoenix is "NOT" the most powerful female super hero because she does not have control of her power. Second storm can turn into roguestorm if she gets trapped for a certain period of time. A true goddess that stated she had unlimited powers when she attacked doom and some of the other xmen members. Her power was growing while she was fighting. Also don't forget the xternal. However it is kinda hard to judge how powerful the Phoenix is because everytime a new writer comes in they change things about the phoenix. sooooo it's really hard to say, I have just read somewhere in one of my comics that it is as powerful (or atleast on the same tier) as the Living Tribunal.

Jean is the best PERIOD!! For people to say she's "boring" just because she didnt come from a f*cked up household or didnt have a f*cked up childhood doesnt make her boring! Most of you probably come the same type of background. Her humanity and humility made her the best. Unlike the rest of the MU females and many of the males she doesnt throw herself a pity party because tragic things happen, that they then carry into their adulthood.

I fell in love with Jeannie during X-Men: TAS. Of course, it was the Phoenix Saga that did it.
She was so sacrificing, and there was such a human element to the way she fought to contain the Phoenix's hunger.
And she never gives up. So, in my mind, Jean has some amazing qualities - she's definitely one of my faves (I'm one of those rare Jean AND Storm lovers).

Why for example if Phoenix is so powerful didn't they use her during the Infinity Gauntlet saga or others (Onslaught). Plus what is the point of say infinity or Death, Eternity etc. I often think these holes lessen the creditable of the big sagas. Or other characters so called Godhood.

Scarlet Witch is technically the most powerful Marvel Woman because she warped reality on a multi-versal scale under her own power.
Alot of people say that isnt true because if she was that powerful Phoenix would have been affected,but again this is the problem with Jean & PF.Jean was protected because of Phoenix and her being one,if she had been back to her Marvel girl level as a regular mutant she would have been affected too.
I still consider Jean and Phoenix separate entities

This video is correct,PHOENIX is the most powerful Marvel woman,but Jean is not.They have bonded permanently,but before Jean was being possessed and being used as an avatar,a host.The Phoenix was not originally her power nor was she born with it as X3 showed(which is where a lot of younger fans screw up on info)
Jean is Omega level mutant,but can still be beat by even less.PF just grants her immense power and gives her a boost with er physic abilities and grants her some extra abilities. :)

@jeanscott20 No she isn't,shes just another omega level mutant without Phoenix Force.Without PF She can be beaten by the likes of Invisible Woman,Storm Ms.Marvel,Scarlett Witch etc.Hell she can be blitzed by several people faster than her.
and now she is one with Phoenix as WPOTC,but back then she wasn't,just a host.In actuality she shouldn't even be put as Marvel most powerful woman,because she is now truly a force of nature and not really a person anymore..if that makes any sense to you.

@aquamarine11500 Well Omega lvl mutants are THE MOST powerful mutants, because they have unlimited power (just go and look up the definition) so that even before the PF, Jean is "one" of the most powerful(if is not the most powerful). And I have to remind you, Professor X put blocks in her mind to "limit" her powers.Oh! And Jean really shows how powerful she is when separates Emma from the PF without having the PF power(read Phoenix:Endsong) Plus! Storm F#/! rocks! She can kick everyone @ss ;)

I say phoenix is "NOT" the most powerful female super hero because she does not have control of her power. Second storm can turn into roguestorm if she gets trapped for a certain period of time. A true goddess that stated she had unlimited powers when she attacked doom and some of the other xmen members. Her power was growing while she was fighting. Also don't forget the xternal. Cajuns boss lady.

"superheroes" or " supervillains" with ridiculously overempowered divine might like her and some others is the reason it is not interesting... I mean destroying universes etc. .. .where is it going, to the world of gods? Valhalla? Nice scenario: a villain decided to destroy the entire milky way galaxy with a scratch in the ass... ok folks and thats the end of story and no more running of our hero around the block in search for clues. He and everything just got demolished, concept nullified.

what the hell are you guys talking about... the only time the phoenix force possesses jean is during the Dark Phoenix Saga... all the rest of the time.. jean is harnessing the Phoenix's power.. and is an Avatar: she wields the phoenix, not the other way around. in in Phoenix: Endsong, Jean actually becomes one with the phoenix... the merge and become one being.. Jean currently is the Phoenix Force. you guys really need to to get a clue and actually read the comics instead of stare at the pics :)

@jeremyunderground41 she's destroyed whole galaxies effortlessly. Buu destroyed planets and almost died each time. Then died from a spirit bomb. He wouldn't even be able to stand next to a sun. I fail to realize why you think he, or ANYONE from DBZ, could fight the PF. I'll have some belief when they consume a sun or destroy a galaxy.

@DariousStribling according to Great King Kai, GOKU's Spirit bomb is the only weapon to destroy Buu, Spirit bomb comes from People/alien's goodness that wil lconvert into a n energy. Yes Buu can survive in Sun. Also What If Buu turned Phoenix into a candy and eat her? Goodbye Phoenix so Buu wins haha,remember he turned some humans into a candy.

I don't get what's up with this DBZ fans and their toons. Phoenix could take most if not all them out in a few moves. Heck she could just deny them the next moment of life and kill them all.Last I checked she eats the energy of suns.what blast is going to work on her?None. and that spirit bomb isn't gonna work at all sense she is life it's self. Now I could see if we was talking about any other x-men..maybe not X-Man but still. Your talking about a being that's above the marvel gods.

Sorry but a DBZ toon couldn't dare to win a fight with phoenix. You can't kill the force since it's the sum of life.With that said you could try to kill the host over and over but it'll keep coming back if the force wishes. Now with that said Buu himself wouldn't be able to win a fight with phoenix . I mean we a talking about a force that amps any host powers to limitless powers and with Jean Grey herself being one with Phoenix would ruin anyone from DBZ. Massive TK and TP..not gonna happen
