I have seen them live before. I saw them on Feb. 25 absolutely amazing! Made me love them even more, I didn't know that was possible at the time. lol I am seeing them again as a birthday present on Sept. 10.

That's simply not true. Now granted Mitch Ryder owns this song and they're not even close to his version but they stand up to just about every other take on this tune I've heard.

I know it's a Prince song. It's kind of hard not to know it's a Prince song. Mitch Ryder just did the definitive version of it. Prince's version doesn't even come close. Much like Bob Dylan wrote "All Along the Watchtower" but Jimi Hendrix covered it and for all time took posession of it Mitch Ryder "owns" this song.
