• 5 dislikes must be christins

  • @kseltl you spell like a 10 year old, and your statement is false.

  • lmao yep i for got an a so i must be 10 roflmao sounds like my comment struck a nerve with u maybe its because u are one lmao

  • @kseltl The fuck did you you just say? You need to take grammar lessons buddy.

  • I never found a music video that made me cry...until now. Senses Fail is beautiful.

  • this song is soooo good!

  • This is probably going to sound super morbid but this song got me through the time I was really suicidal. This song is always going to mean the world to me, seeing as I'm still alive 2 years later.

  • @naah same here. I think "all the best cowboys had daddy issues" "negative spaces" and "the priest and the matador" all related. *about a man who has lost everything and believes theirs no reason for him to live, so he takes his own life" and when i was feeling that way, and was suicidal (im not anymore) i listened to this song and thought, Wow someone feels the same way i do! im not the only one. Senses fail is, and always will be my fav band.

  • muito boa musica vampirinha rsrsrs

  • im pretty sure the song is about he is the arrow shot straight to hell cause hes done alot of bad things, William tell was supposedly the most accurate archer, hes saying hes going straight to hell, there's no hope for him redeeming himself but he accepts it

  • This video made me cry, haha.

  • That bitch didn't just break his acoustic...

  • That'd be so tight if he opened his eyes at the end.

  • great lyrics, beat and video..possibly the most epic song by senses fail?

  • The beginning of the song is epic!

  • In my opinion, what I think happened was his wife found that blue brochure that said something that must've made her mad and so she was leaving him and probably going to divorce him(she threw the ring at him). Then he believed she was the only thing that meant anything to him in his life, and without her life was useless. He then decided that nothing in life will ever be better without her so then he decided to end his life, by falling off the church.

  • @MrSaix255 Agreed

  • 5 people had their sound turned off! O.o

  • 6 people with no taste

  • the quality of this song off frostwire is shit

  • this song is so powerful. i almost can't take it.

  • Senses fail's last two cds have been like about my life it's amazing

  • what did she pick up?

  • grupaso hermano senses fail

  • everytime i hear this song i can feel it inside my bones. it's more than a simple melody or a cluster of words, it's a way to reconnect with all of those unverbalized words stuck inside you. i love this song, it really sinks in deep and reminds you of all the reasons you decided to stay alive. <333333

  • 5 People are who clicked the "dislike" button are not human.

  • censored?

youve gotta be fucking kidding me.

  • Quite possibly my favourite music video of all time.

  • this video will always be one my favourite video's ever.

  • video could have been way better!!

  • Amazing music video.

  • If this song was simply about the lead singer (Buddy), losing faith in his religion, it still doesn't mean that he's so glad it's gone. If you'll notice there's many obvious references to losing faith, for example in the song The Rapture, it says something about "the guilt is gone and I can finally breathe", but I think if you look further into these faith-centered songs, there's a hidden meaning that is exactly opposite from what you hear. I think Buddy misses Christianity.

  • great video still love this band

  • its about confusion and not knowing what happens next and how every choice in life affects you in some way or another

  • If you are very picky.. by listening to the lyrics carefully and watching the video.. you can see that the story is about a guy that gets rejected by his girlfriend and he just cannot stand it.. and then he tries to kill himself.. that's why in the song it says ''My body lies, kissing the ground'' and in the first verse ''Oh dear God, I think he fell''... so maybe he tried to jump from the ceiling of some building or I dunno what.. that's what I understood from the song..

  • @zegunmaster oh in fact hehe.. if you look at the video carefully you can see he was standing on the roof of the church.. so he jumped.. and if you're picky you'll understand that all the lyrics are about him killing himself

  • @UnHoLy260 he's saying the time of death is half past six.

  • This song is so awsome. Its very powerful, and tells a sad story of love and loss. And you never trully know what you have until its gone. + <3 +

  • I really don't think they could have made a better video for this song... Everytime I listened to this song, this was almost identical to what I pictured in my mind... I love it!!!

  • @ApplePieAriel alright you can just shut the fuck up! No one wants to know or cares about your opinion....

  • for some reason this version is beter quality then i got on my album i bought :|

  • lol i scream plz get the hmmf away

  • @SuicidalTechnicians excuse me i believe its "Please get the FUCK away".... Get it straight you fuck.

  • @kaytielove64 umm wtf u ass hole

  • @SuicidalTechnicians that person was an asshole!

  • @kaytielove64 you dont have to be a douchebag ya know...

and SuicidalTechnicians got it right, it is please get the hmmf away... its a little thing called censoring, you asshole

  • @DesertedSoldier thanks man

  • i dont get the part where he says "the time of that its half past six" can any1 explain to me?

  • great song.. n great video... luv this band..

  • @VendettaMLG so very true..

  • "my body lies kissing the ground like a cross turned upside down...i hear him start to state the time of death is half past six."

  • the half past six part of the song is one of the best lines i have ever read.

if you see what he means by it, its the best use of symbolism, this guy is an amaaaaaaaaaaaazing wrtier

  • @dreamof i don't understand i would greatly appreciate it if u could explain it to me

  • @Blazinnn89 its 6:30 the time. just picture a round clock like the ones at your old highschool or wherever. When joined the 2 arrows point down, straight to hell, its just to emphasize him going straight to hell.

But it works perfectly because William Tell had 2 arrows, and both arrows are pointing straight to hell in this situation, or the clock tickers, whatever they are called =D

thats what the 6:30 part means anyways, its a amazing use of symbolism and this writer is absolutely amazing

  • @dreamof thanks for clearing that up for me man i agree buddy is an amazing writer

  • for me this song just reminds me of everything i've dealt with and brings back pain i'd rather forget, yet i love the song and still listen to it.

  • jeez, she just threw thier wedding/engagement ring in his face, did she have tto trash his stuff? (guitar)

  • i love senses fail...

  • This song has so much meaning, Senses Fail are the greatest =D!

  • the priest is very sympathic :)

  • buddy killed himself in this video because that lady broke his guitar :P

  • This song has diffrent meaning for diffrent people. For me this song is about whatever the very best thing in your life is it disappears. You dont know how to live without it, You've had them/it there for so long that everyday you wake up and are so use to them/it being there and then one day its not, you dont know what to do and you feel an emptiness in your heart where them/it use to be. Fall in love and you'll understand this song alot more.

  • listen to all the best cowboys have daddy issues (with lyrics if you don't know them) then listen to this song and see if your view gets changed.

  • @VendettaMLG suicide imo.

  • @VendettaMLG Dude, yes, i listened to this song every day, 24/7 when i fell in love.... and got my heart broken. But u know, im fine now... not trying to kill myself anymore.

  • @VendettaMLG you nailed it.. this song helped me get through the toughest times of my life. <3 senses fail. thanks for helping me..

  • @VendettaMLG thats perfect! couldnt of said it any better

  • @VendettaMLG i agree with you on that

  • @VendettaMLG hey buddy thts how i feel n thts what i think too man i love this song

  • wait!! The guitarist in this video. Isnt that the guitarist/singer for the Foo fighters?!

  • im pretty sure the band is athiest

  • ♥

  • in the christian faith, and most others, you go to purgatory if you kill yourself, thats probably why they have included the priest in the music video

  • Agreed, although it is fun to watch the religious pricks act all self rightious with this kind of stuff. after that somebody says something to them that makes them realize how stupid they are.

  • nice song :I!

  • what religion is this band? =p

sry to repeat everyones question but i lost my faith like a month ago, im athiest now

  • how do you lose your faith?

  • @xxSeaTownTrout , there are a lot of ways man, for me it was when i realised for all the good the church is supposed to embody "tolerance to all"; they actually hate people in more walks of life than i care to mention.

  • who gives to shits about the bands religion they make good music and to go deep into it and arguing about religion makes you all assholes

  • DOES ALL THIS CRAP ABOUT RELIGION MATTER ITS JUST A music vid the song is the main part

  • I was so disappointed when I saw this music video. It had so much potential

  • Buddy Nilelsen is basically agnostic.

  • You can't judge the beliefs of an entire band based on a few of their songs; especially since not all of the band members actually contribute greatly to them. Also, this song could just be satire of the catholic church alone or he could just be going through a time where he's struggling with religion.

And where in the bible does it actually say Jesus was born Dec. 25th? I think it's purely made up for convenience in celebrating.

Did someone say PAGANS' Gods? Pagans don't have gods!

  • Pagans do have gods, actually. You're thinking atheists, dude.

  • Actually, no I wasn't. Pagans are traditionally referring to irreligious people, but apparently it has two meanings: either irreligious or the very opposite, polytheistic.

Besides, whoever used that word didn't know what it meant, he was quoting it from an article or a t.v. show he saw it on. I say this because he used such a generic and unclear term like "pagan" with more than one definition.

  • If the term 'pagan' is used to denote more than one meaning, as you said, why were you using it exclusively?

Pagans referring to irreligious people was a Christianization of the term, I think, used broadly to give title to all 'blasphemous' ideologies, whether they be of no gods or different gods. I don't think that's what it originally signified.

On a non-spam related note, I do agree with your comment about the song itself. You can't judge their beliefs based on this.

  • Honestly, I looked up the definition to make sure I was right. But, then I saw that we were both right, and I find it quite ironic that a word can carry two meanings that are opposites.

And I'm not sure about the origins of the word itself, but I know all religions have words for people of other religions, such as gentile, so it's certainly possible you're right.

  • pagans dont have gods. they celebrate the nature and druids.

  • I'm Wiccan, which is considered a Neopagan religion. Pagans do have gods and goddesses and celebrate nature, but it's much more than that. I don't know very much about Paganism, but it's the foundation of many religions. Christian holidays came from it, in fact, and Pagans do have have some of the same principles. However, Pagans and Wiccans do not believe in negative beings and respect equality more than some religions.

  • atheists dont believe in gods.

  • Pagans/Neo Pagans/Wiccans etc.. have a God and a Goddess, generally. Although everyone has different beliefs and interpretations. But the Pagan holidays celebrate the life cycle of one of the Gods. Jesus was also born sometime in March, and died in May. All Christian holidays were moved to coincide with Pagan (which means "from the countryside") sabbats to make conversion easier.

  • listen to the very first track off still searching. buddy is completely over religion bro

  • My point was it's ignorant to characterize the collective beliefs of the whole band based off of one song. Yes, the main writer of some of their songs is irreligious, but to say their an "atheist band" is not taking into account the other members of the band who may or may not agree with that.

  • so I think he's already dead all the vid through. (?)

  • tell me if you think there christian after hearing the song The Rapture lol

  • wow, first song i have ever heard by these guys. gotta say im impressed

  • Oh and to the guy like 10-ish posts below me, suicide isn't actually a sin and god would still accept you into heaven, and it was preffered over dying in battle. In 562 A.D as Christianity became more mainstream in the Roman Empire the bible was revised and some sections were removed and/or altered to make suicide into a sin. The Pope can and does make alterations to the bible if something is unethical by today's standards "AKA The New Testament" Isn't rewriting the Word of god a sin? LOL!

  • Pretty good song and no, they are dfinately not christian AT ALL if anything they are Athiest, if you read the lyrics to half of there song's they range from wanting to commit murder, bleed to death, Schizophrenia, insanity, etc. Which in my opinion is a good thing because it makes them unique and theres song's have depth unlike most other band's in there genre.

  • there music is soo powerful

  • Who's the idiot who spelled priest wrong? rofl

  • it seems the church CAUSED all his problems actually

  • i worship ZEUS actually....

  • Cool song

  • This song is awsome!!

I though the ending when the band was playing and he was dead was pretty funny

  • This video is rather powerful, aswell as the song. They arent christian, and usually chapels are high places. There isnt any point in arguing about religion here.

  • Notice how he says, "my faith is weak?" He is not really christian.... Christian bands rarely or never sing about commiting suicide, considering that it is a sin to them, and you will go to hell. And I believe he jumped frmo the chapel because it was the highest place around.

  • yeh i agree they are in no way christian

anberlin is christian these guys arent also if they were christian they wouldnt say fuck in this song its kinda obvious they arent

  • wow their good i didnt think i would like them people give me sum good bands that u think r amazin

  • Sr-71, Hawthorne Heights, Red, Skillet.. they are good bands and play similar music to senses fail

  • I think its hilarious how people dont actually listen to the song at all...Just because their in and around a church doesnt mean their christian, in fact Buddy isn't christian. And that plays into a lot of their songs...so actually listen to the lyrics before you announce "OMG their a christian band"

  • <senses fail fan before they hit it big ...................from the depth of dreams is so EMO !!!! was kinda shocked they were at the RUFIO concert , GOOD TIMES THOUGH !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • they arent christian i believe, really dont care neither.

just becouse its a priest and a church in the music video. doesnt mean they are christian. but idonno.

  • omg f**king amazin!!!!!!!

bloody romance is better though n_n

  • are senses fail christian?

  • yes

  • i didnt actually know that haha do they have christain lyrics in most of their songs?

  • um no

  • noo!!

  • no they aren't

  • theyre not.

  • not what? christian? they dont have christian lyrics but idk lol

  • ye not christian. i was readin about em and one interview said that buddy gets inspiriation for some of their lyrics from buddhism. but shit idk, they jsut dont seem christian at all

  • no that's as i lay dying. There just a band... no singing about god here.

  • hah no way

  • Great song , Sad vid

  • Man, this is a really good song, one of my fav. by these guys. Kepp up the good work, Senses Fail!

  • I find this really funny

  • what were they fighting about anyway

  • hey religion isn't a joke some older people it's all they've got left so effectively it's keeping them alive.

  • man everytime i hear this sound it gives me goose bumps

  • finally understand the time of death. since its half past 6 or 630. both the hands are pointing down at him..

  • The priest certainly took advantage of the situation. Greif is the world's most effective aphrodisiac.

  • powerful stuff

  • Ok so the reason the are flaws in the bible is because the ones u buy in stores were somewhat written by people.....the fact that nobody is perfect means the bible won't be perfect... so yeah there are gonna be some problems!

  • 'problems' ???? RIGHT.

the bible states there is an invisible man in the fucking sky ! that's not a problem mate, that's a COMMON SENSE FAIL.

  • shut your ass up

  • Fuck off.

  • Comment removed

  • matador is spanish for "slayer"

  • she broke a perfectly good guitar XD

    Good song though!

  • what is a matador ?

  • google is your friend.

  • a matador ( i think) is the guy that kills the bull in bull fighting

  • damn the song and video got me teary eyed at the end

  • sounds like the ring XD

  • i didn't copy and paste yesterday and i'm still alive, whoohoo

  • buenissssimo tema

  • omfg =')

  • LMFAO

  • epic win- you just won teh interwebs.

  • I love this song this song is fucking AWESOME!
