The guy at 4:00 predicted the future of Miami dead on..15 years after he said this, the Mariel boatlift emptied over 100 thousand Cuban criminals and mental patients were dumped onto the shores of Miami and the city turned into the most violent American city in the US within a couple of years..it is now a wasteland of crime and basically a 3rd world country

It really has been a loose-loose situation. If the hahaha, Carter administration took action against the shoreline drug arrivals, Miami would have ten times the old people population it used to. Ignoring it boosted the economy, but crime was serious.

So Miami became, as the city planner predicts (3:53), a very ugly city within 10-20 years, at least downtown did. The Hispanic influx kept it from completely dying - but Miami's always been ugly, except for some beach areas.
