The internal mic on this was actually that good, it picks up everything, this i bad when there is wind, but otherwise great. It doesn't have an input unfortunately for a mic, my next camera will though, and I will share info on it with you guys when I get it, hopeful for christmas or newyears.

I am assuming you are trying to use windows movie maker to edit. You can't do that with this camera. You are going to need to download a converter in order to use wmm to edit your vids. if you google video converter there are tons you can download for free.

I have a question. Can anyone tell me how much memory space you need for the sony webbie ? From what I saw it takes an SD card. How much memory do you need? I know that the battery is supposed to last 120mins. Can you actually film 120mins of footage ? Video files take up a lot of space I know. So how many gigs would you need on your SD card ?

you need a memory stick pro duo, they come in many different sizes. better off buying em offline, theyre really overpriced in stores. look them up

i just bought 2 of these and with an 8 gig memory card you can store up to 2 1/2 hours of 1080p HD video.. you can store 4 1/2 on 720p HD and you can store 8 hours on standard video! Which is pretty damn good considering the battery will be dead before your card is full!... it will also store over 3000 5 megapixel photos! well not in addition to but either 3000 photos or the video in your desired format! Hope that helps!

BUT..... I will say this.... after much review, I would recommend the Sanyo Xacti over the sony webbie because the Xacti is waterproof so you can submerge it and rinse it off in water.. a really good action camera...

I've read conflicting information on this, if it does exist, it doesn't seem that you can disable it, and if that's not true then accessing it isn't very intuitive.

Nothing special there, but if you are using video software make sure you keep the aspect ratios the same between the original video and the exported video.

That depends on the overall size of your HD TV, on my non HD 27 inch TV it looks amazing. My research on 720p indicates that the number of scan lines still in some circumstances looks better than 1080i unless you get into 50/60 frames per second. At 30FPS 720 1280x720 resolution this will always look good for the most part. Hope this answers your question.

It doesn't happen to have threads for any additional lenses, and yes you can use it with movie maker and most software. In my video Answers about the HD webbie, I mention this. What you will need to do for it to work in movie maker are the proper Codecs.

As a personal rule I actual try to shoot on tripod as much as possible for video, less so for photography outside of studio photography.

I'm thinking of posting a short video on the advantages you get from a tripod.

Try the following:

keep the setting at 720i DONOT change to 1080i

Change the auto white balance and set in landscape mode, I also recommend shooting on a tripod, these should improve your results. Also DONOT use the software to upload/convert the footage use the MP4 footage. If you use the software it will convert to WMV and you will lose quality. Hope this helps you. And not this video is not BS.

Unfortunately you can't put additional lens on this camera, there is however a hot shoe for accessories like a shotgun mic to improve the audio quality and filter noise.

I uploaded it directly using one of my machines that didn't have any of my editing software on it. This video represents my "Control" test. Nothing special, just mounted on a tripod in the backyard first thing in the morning, took the MP4 directly from the camera and uploaded to YouTube.

I will be posting more footage this week of other test including what happens when I use it with different software, so you guys can evaluate it better and see if its for you. Its been working great for me.
