i love the 4850. gots the xfx 4850 1gb for my old pc and it's just incredible the difference from a gt7800 or whatever crap i had before lol. it's still rated among good value cards regardless the age and availability. really recommend it to anyone only wanting to shell out 100 bucks.

there´s 2 reasons

first, i was playing at 1280x1024 wich is a lot less than 1680x1050

second, my cpu is faster than yours, so, it should help a little too

pci-e 1.0 still has a very fast bandwidth

i had a Atlhon X2 4600+ with a PCI-E 1.0 mobo with the 4850. After i swaped the mobo to a pci-e 2.0, i got a 10fps boost, so, theres your problem.

the 4850 runs GTA IV pretty well if you have a good CPU :)

I dont think your 4850 is stock, if it is, how come iv seen ones at 575, I doubt that they do underclocked versions =/
