5. Anyone with an ounce of common sense can see that the only reason the Empire signed that treaty, was so they could live to fight another day. In fact, they weren’t really doing much about the Talos ban in Skyrim until Ulfric and his boys opened their mouths and started screaming about it. 4. I went to both the headquarters of the Empire and the headquarters of the Stormcloaks and carefully listened to both the leaders talk with their respective advisors/war-captains. Ulfric and his goonie (whose name escapes me ) talk about invading and practically destroying Whiterun simply because Balgruuf wants to stay out of the war. While General Tulis, even with his bad attitude, simply wanted to protect the town and wasn’t really pressuring Balgruuf too much about joining sides.

3. When doing the quest during the main quest chain to sneak into the Thalmor Embassy you find a series of reports written by/for Elenwyn. One of such reports is about Ulfric and basically in this report it blatantly says that the Stormcloaks are being secerelty and discreetly backed by the Dominon. They WANT this war to weaken the Empire.

2. There have been numerous NPCs who have claimed to have served with Ulfric during the war… and every single on of have them has basically said that the only reason he started this war was his own personal lust for power. He's just using Talos as an excuse.

Well there were many factors as to why I joined the Imperials Which I will list below (may take a couple posts to get it all down):

1. Ulfric is first and foremost very deeply racist, which is a big problem for me since I play a dark elf. It has also carried to the Nord goonies who follow him blindly without thinking for themselves. (continued next)

Always a hard choice with Imperials and Stormcloaks. Until I got to Windhelm and Ulfric and his boys turned out to be racist scum, instantly turned me away from the stormcloaks. I'd much rather support the side that actually has a chance against the filth that is the Thalmar, that side being the Imperials. Cause if any stormcloak supporters didn't notice, the elves are a much greater problem than not being able to worship Talos. But most of all, Daedric worship for the win. Sheogorath for life!

Here we have Stormcloacks, which reminds me the Whitecloacks of the Robert Jordan's masterpiece "The Wheel of Time", while in Oblivion there was an NPC called Ogier, like one of the races that populated Rand Land. Cool.
