I won't argue with the main point, which is that ACC Refs stink. But at least Maryland won this game. That loss sealed Clemson out of the ACC Championship game. If you wanna see a bad call decide the ACC Championship, check out my video of the 1985 Maryland at Clemson game winning "TD".

a little thing called forward progress. he got out and was then pushed back in. they'll call it every time. they made the obvious and the right call.

Forward progress still didn't even get him to the goal line. The refs spotted the ball at the 1 yard line. Even if you want to try to argue (incorrectly) that he may have reached the goal line, there is NO WAY he reached the one.

When you pause the video at 5 seconds into the film, you can see that this is the end of the running back's forward progress. It is "OBVIOUS" that he is still at least 1 yard short of getting to the goal line!

You realize that the refs called just *ONE* penalty against Clemson that entire game, right? Yeah, that's a definite indication that the refs were out to get Clemson.

I completely agree. These 2 missed calls are as bad as the reception that was called incomplete for the vikings in last week's monday night football game. Another miserable call was the Troy Brown "taunting" against the Colts. Why is it that football refs don't ever have to admit that they are wrong or face the press. At least the Dook basketball refs last year were suspended.
