i would suggest not going to crazy with that pick, small strokes if you listen your not totally muting your string in those breakdowns and open bits. And your just hitting the strings to much really.
You got the right idea for notes I think, and work with the bass tone, it looks like you have some good pick ups so get those to pick up more treble and it will help your sound a bit more.
