OMG I was 15 yrs old and deeply in love that summer of 1967/68 and broke up with the 1st boy I ever loved. I thought I was gonna die, my depression and pain was very physical I believed I would die if we didn't get back together but I'm still here 40 yrs later . I would have love to be with him but it wasn't to happen and see I still moved on.

man the women would go absolutely nuts when this song was played at blue lights in the basement parties. despite all the disputes and disagreements the guys had, they were able to crank out some of the best music EVER.

Utube once again caved to the music fat suits and removed the live version. What a shame. A great song with both David and Eddie singing, a rare song.

David even removed his glasses during the live version to not take away from Eddie. A classic, one of the best.

The ending of this song was my favorite part, but it ended way too soon. I remember always turning up the volume on my record player to catch some of it. I hope that the full length version of it was recorded on the original studio master, so that maybe Motown or another record company could release it. That ending was a super superb masterpiece! Everyone involved with making this song should be proud!

Hey Fairnorth, the ending part with David and Eddie swing leading together has alway's been my favorite also. It truly ended way to soon, and I too use to turn up the record player back in the day to try to catch every last note. I was blessed and fortunate to hear them live back in the day just when my man David was out and

Dennis was in. It was an excellent performance and Eddie and Dennis were just great on this song as were the others. I'll never forget those moments.

I agree jeridolove, it certainly is better w/David and Eddie, I was just commiting how impressed I was w/David and Eddie live with the Temps and in person version back then around 1969 or 1971.
